YoloinOhio Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 (edited) @lukewinn Deep in that NCAA release: Louisville argued its penalties should be downgraded because the sex acts/stripteases weren't worth all that much https://twitter.com/lukewinn/status/875379960269209601 Edited June 15, 2017 by YoloinOhio
Johnny Hammersticks Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Weak. Further magnifies the NCAA's screw job of Boeheim and Syracuse basketball. I hope they have to vacate the championship. Meh....
Mike in Horseheads Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I see nothing wrong with bringing in entertainment for the team. Typical NCAA overreach. ...Meanwhile North Carolina still sits out there in the longest investigation in history and no outcome.
YoloinOhio Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 Should vacate 2013 title and 2012 final four
Bray Wyatt Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Weak. Further magnifies the NCAA's screw job of Boeheim and Syracuse basketball. I hope they have to vacate the championship. Meh.... This was the first thing I thought of, such bs
eball Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 I see nothing wrong with bringing in entertainment for the team. Typical NCAA overreach. ...Meanwhile North Carolina still sits out there in the longest investigation in history and no outcome. Because the NCAA can't tie the academic scandal to athletics -- namely, men's basketball. And that won't change.
Augie Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Pitino whining about the NCAA further strengthens my opinion of that little turd.
C.Biscuit97 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 The NCAA is a joke. And Pitno has become a joke as well. I'm excited for the Al Pacino Pitno biopic.
Royale with Cheese Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Not going to lie....if I was a top recruit and a program got me hot escorts on my visit....I'm signing there.
Augie Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Not going to lie....if I was a top recruit and a program got me hot escorts on my visit....I'm signing there. I get that as I was once 17. But I suspect if you're really a top prospect, you don't need to pay to get yours. If you're a smart top prospect, you may realize sanctions come with that behavior. They got off easy. Is there a "Hot for Louisville" thread yet? Many of these kids are minors. Jail time might be a real option if they really took it seriously. (I freely admit to being anti-Pitino and Louisville.)
Mark Vader Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) Should vacate 2013 title and 2012 final four YES!!! Edited June 16, 2017 by Mark Vader
YoloinOhio Posted June 16, 2017 Author Posted June 16, 2017 YES!!!lol. congrats on your championship!
KD in CA Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 I'm sorry, people want to pretend history didn't happen because someone hired some strippers?
Johnny Hammersticks Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Not going to lie....if I was a top recruit and a program got me hot escorts on my visit....I'm signing there. These recruits don't need someone to pay for them to get laid. These guys have p$&@y falling all over them on their campus visits.
Augie Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 I'm sorry, people want to pretend history didn't happen because someone hired some strippers? Oh, it happened. I don't think anyone is questioning that. (Except maybe some folks who think we've never walked on the moon, but that's another story.) Players and fans still have their memories, and no one can take that away. The real story is that it was happening with players recruited not only against NCAA rules, but against the law. Providing sex for under aged people (5 star recruits or not) can land you in jail. (See the Hot For Teacher threads.) It's an unfair inticement, considered the same as paying for a car. They leave the moral judgement out, but it's still against the rules. And Pitino is still a douche.

Augie Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 It will never happen, but shouldn't the school recover any incentives paid to Quick Rick due to his achievements being vacated? Yeah, no word on that yet....
YoloinOhio Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 Pitino and Petrino. Louisville exudes class.
Augie Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Pitino and Petrino. Louisville exudes class. While I'm not a Pitino fan, I'm glad he's there because my coach (Chris Mack at Xavier) had no interest in Indiana or OSU this off-season, but Louisville might be different for family reasons. I do LOVE that guy! (And if he got that opening for 2-3 times the pay, I'd forgive him.)
