Tyrod struggles, Zay's best day yet... & an early candidate for a comeback story? 7 #Bills observations from Day 4: http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-7-buffalo-bills-training-camp-observations-day-4-73017

Day 4 MVP: CB Tre’Davious White
- The rookie and first-round pick bounced back from Saturday and was all over his assignments when the ball was thrown against him. He’s getting closer and closer to “lock” status as a first-year starter.

Day 4 LVP: WR Andre Holmes
- Multiple drops throughout the day and a lack of separation from cornerbacks lead me to put Holmes as the LVP for the day. It’s a long camp, and we’ve seen him perform a lot better than this during the spring.

Main takeaway from Bills' practice Sunday: passing game overall continues to struggle. Dropped passes by Andre Holmes, Rod Streater and Philly Brown in 11-on-11 work, passes batted at line, sacks and inaccurate throws defined the day. Rookie CB Tre'Davious White played a role, breaking up two passes. Best throws from Tyrod Taylor were a pair of completions to rookie WR Zay Jones in a move-the-ball drill.

Was this under?

Comments on poor passing

Just saw Joe B. 4.5 days ?

What They Said: #Bills S Hyde, WR Jones & CB White. "We're not making the same mistakes twice, so that's good." http://bit.ly/2vW4UmU

Tanner Vallejo is moving up LB depth chart, while Ragland remains the backup at MLB. All my Sunday Bills camp notes

At this point, might as well write the top 3 WRs in blood (unless there's an injury or signing). It's ALWAYS Watkins, Holmes, Zay Jones.

#Bills rookie CB Tre'Davious White looks as good as advertised in a new-look secondary: http://www.wgrz.com/sports/buffalo-bills-training-camp-rookie-tredavious-white-off-to-strong-start/460572315

Not any surprises on there IMO. Ragland is a touch concerning but I never expected greatness from him. Thought that he'd be a solid starter but maybe not.

Still early coming off the injury and getting himself acclimated to playing MLB in a 4-3 defense.

Yep. I wouldn't be surprised if Preston started the first few games and they start to scale Reggie in from there, depending on Brown's performance.

Holmes!? The guy has been dropping ball like a hot potato.

Good to see Tanner move up, which LB spot?

Surprised to see Ragland backing up.

Right after stretch and individual work, the Bills have been scheduling one short practice period to work on special situations. On Sunday, they spent time schooling the offense on hurrying to the football and getting the ball snapped quickly, in case they have to “beat the clock.”

Quick snaps are critical when there’s a possible replay review coming or another questionable call on the field. The Bills spent about three minutes of practice time running a play, then getting the hurry up call from the coaching staff, then running to the line of scrimmage and getting the snap off as quickly as possible, all in an effort to thwart a potential replay challenge. Attention to detail

Hallelujah!!!!

I cannot say how many times this has drove me absolutely crazy over the years!

Hopefully it's about more than just beating the replay system.

I'd like to see increased situational awareness in short-yardage scenarios. Watch how quickly NE hurries to the LOS to run a sneak or dive in any 1-yard-to-go situation; they've even occasioned to PA pass off of it with great success.

Knowing when to increase or decrease the pace of your offense is critical in this league.

Big part of Rodgers' game too. Quick snaps before the D is properly set. Often times draws a flag for a free play, which he loves to punish.
