145B4IDIE Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 From a cross-marketing standpoint I think it's brilliant. I too, want one. Wait and see how many you spot at New Era for Bills games. I'm guessing more than 3.
4_kidd_4 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 People knocking Schopp and Bulldog are obviously listening to them. They win. And yeah, their content can certainly be trite. But think of it this way: we are a two-team sports outpost with a running tradition of a very long offseasons. What do people expect?

Can you imagine filling that much time with these organizations?

I haven't listened to them in more than 10 years the only time I hear about them is when people complain about them on social media. In my view as far as their show goes if you can't find a topic related to Buffalo sports or even sports in general on a station that bills it self as all sports all the time maybe you work for the wrong station or are in the wrong profession.
PromoTheRobot Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 It boggles the mind how Schopp and the Generic sports talk name have been on the air for 15 years in that same time slot. They do entire segmeyand sometimes shows about topics almost entirely irrelevant to sports. I turend them off 10 years ago and never looked back. Inertia + no competition. X 1,000,000. Can you imagine filling that much time with these organizations? I can. The problem with S&B is they know next to nothing about sports. Really. Schopp even brags about how little he cares about it. But they are experts in talking about how miserable it is to be a Buffalo sports fan. The level of sports literacy of the entire WGR staff is incredibly low.
eball Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I'd like to see JP-era's attempt. A reference to JP-era always brightens my day. Good god, those designs were horrific.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 If you're going to represent the USA I guess it makes sense to wear the jersey of a winner.
Chandler#81 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 usahockey_2017-Jun-14.jpg Really, you guys think these are that bad? I like them. May just purchase one.
CowgirlsFan Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 They'd be better if they had tie laces there by the neck.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 I didn't think I would have an opinion on it because I could care less, but I think they are terrible.
Bob Lamb Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) I like it - told the wife I'm getting one. Now what number ? Edited June 16, 2017 by Bob Lamb
Not at the table Karlos Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) To the people that don't like it. Do you not like the Bills current jerseys too? It's a long sleeve jersey but with team USA instead of Bills. Edited June 16, 2017 by Not at the table Karlos
4_kidd_4 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 It looks tacky, especially for a team representing their country. Hoakie marketing, but it'll be effective because there's always gonna be the "shut up and take my money!!" crowd, which is not unique to our market.
CodeMonkey Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Worst hockey jersey I have ever seen. Thank god it's just for that one game. Local sportscasters had a good time making fun of it as well.
