The downside of drafting a very young player is that they get to sign 2 major huge long term contracts instead of one.

 

 

The primary downside is that you get an immature person.

 

This has been evidenced time and again.

 

It's really hard bringing that stubborn young pampered unprofessional type into a losing culture.

 

The list is long over the past decade+ and the Bills just keep going back to the well for 20-21 year olds in early rounds.

 

It's great to get HOF talent like Lynch, Dareus and Sammy but if there isn't a winning culture in place they need extra leadership.

 

They should have paid Anquan Boldin to be here when Sammy was a rookie........I think it would have made a huge difference and even LIKELY helped prevent certain physical issues too, IMO.

Hoping they correct this mistake and attempt to bring Boldin in this year to mentor Watkins and Jones.
