4merper4mer Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 @SalSports Bills WR Sammy Watkins turns 24 years old today. Now his age will get in the way too. Trade value way down. [/sammyhatingmorons]
JohnBonhamRocks Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 This is pretty interesting: Chris Trapasso @ChrisTrapasso #AgeTweet: Sammy Watkins turns 24 today. He's younger than 2016 rookie WRs: Josh Doctson, Michael Thomas, Sterling Shepard, & Braxton Miller

BringBackOrton Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 The downside of drafting a very young player is that they get to sign 2 major huge long term contracts instead of one.
BuffaloBaumer Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 24 and there's so much more... Live alone in a paradise......
BADOLBILZ Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 The downside of drafting a very young player is that they get to sign 2 major huge long term contracts instead of one. The primary downside is that you get an immature person. This has been evidenced time and again. It's really hard bringing that stubborn young pampered unprofessional type into a losing culture. The list is long over the past decade+ and the Bills just keep going back to the well for 20-21 year olds in early rounds. It's great to get HOF talent like Lynch, Dareus and Sammy but if there isn't a winning culture in place they need extra leadership. They should have paid Anquan Boldin to be here when Sammy was a rookie........I think it would have made a huge difference and even LIKELY helped prevent certain physical issues too, IMO.
Maury Ballstein Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 24 and there's so much more... Amen. Hope the new offense throws his way 10x a game.

Hoping they correct this mistake and attempt to bring Boldin in this year to mentor Watkins and Jones.
