The kid is amazing. The Sabres' fortunes will turn around once he gets on the roster with Jack - hopefully next season.

8PM tonight on NHL Network. Will see him live Thursday and Friday.

BTW, the refs think the Canadians are the New England Patriots

Disappointed in the crowds. Really hope they improve.

Mittelstadt is a total stud though!

man, have you seen the prices? They want $100 for a first round robin tournament game for either USA or Canada! Crazy. They way overestimated demand, these tickets should be $25 max, upper decks $8-12.

You paying $100 to see the first game of the trny?? I know for sure i ain't!!

That game tying goal by the NYI was 100% on Bogosian in my opinion.

He made that terrible no look backhand pass directly directly to a NYI player (not sure who it was) who set up Bailey for the tying goal.

Full disclosure: Islanders fan.

I was half watching the game, but did I see this correctly? Did a replay official actually stop continuous play with around 38 seconds left to reverse a missed goal?

If so, I didn't know a replay official could actually halt play. I thought they waited for a stoppage.

They can and do when it's certain that a goal was scored.
