Boatdrinks
Lots of JAGs have gotten SB rings with the Cheaters. Someone's got to fill out the roster past Brady. That's it in a nutshell. These are average to good NFL players along for the ride. The Pats do not win because of these players. Moaning and groaning about it by Bills fans is asinine. Until the Bills get a legit top-flight QB, it simply doesn't matter which random decent NFL player they keep or decide not to pay.

Some fan(s) of every team is saying "our team let so-and-so go and he got a ring with the Cheaters!"
Doc
But they were good players with us and there was no reason to let a couple of em go(MG and Hogan).....just awful management, that's the point. There's nothing special about them. They were and can be easily replaced.
BringBackOrton
There's nothing special about them. They were and can be easily replaced. That's pretty presumptive. I don't think we know if we have replaced either.

And that was the doing ( probably part of the un-doing as well) of the previous GM. He was fired. No reason to harp on the poor management by Whaley. These players would not bring the Bills a SB, or even a playoff berth this season. They will not be the difference between NE winning a championship or not. It's pointless to care one iota what they do in New England. Different team, different coach, different QB. Their service as Bills is no reason to follow them anymore. Just ex- employees wearing enemy cloth.

Boatdrinks
Didn't McD have a say about losing/keeping Gillislee, if not all the say? Maybe some say, but we'll never know. He's not a GM, and the damage was done by Whaley. The MG contract should have been done earlier so as to be cap friendly. They are looking to the future with cap space, and the Pats deal was not conducive for an RB2. Whaley set up this fail.
Doc
The deal was one the Bills could easily have afforded. They chose to let him go.
Doc
Yes. A reason I question McDermotts judgement. Did you question Rex's or Whaley's judgement last year when he released Karlos?
BringBackOrton
Doesn't take much. We shall see. We counted on Ragland and Shaq "easily" replacing Spikes/Bradham and Mario. Edited August 1, 2017 by jmc12290

HT02
That's cool they see such a difference but that's also one reason Club Rex is no longer here. Doesn't seem as if it will be the case under McD. He preaches competition everywhere. Moving on. I agree on both counts, it really sucks reading things like this because there's not much to say but it is a new and hopefully better day for the Bills. Pre-Bill the Patriots were the farm club.
Doc
We shall see. We counted on Ragland and Shaq "easily" replacing Spikes/Bradham and Mario. The differences are those guys were starters and the guys who were supposed to replace them were/got injured. Yep. That was before I knew Karlos was 25 lbs overweight, not giving a !@#$, and suspended. There ya go.

Right, the guys who were supposed to replace them, didn't.
Doc
Right, the guys who were supposed to replace them, didn't. They didn't replace them because of injury. That's not a valid argument. Never mind the fact that LorAx and Zach Brown did replace them. And again, we're talking about replacing backups, not starters. Nowhere have I stated that it will be easy to replace Gilmore. CommonCents
Gilly hasn't been participating in team drills and is now listed as the 3rd RB on the Pats depth chart. I know it's only August but as a Gilly homer it caught my attention.
