Pine Barrens Mafia Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I'm calling for a nip and tuck race with a Conservative win, where they lose as many as 20 seats, but they still win. Your call?

/dev/null Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Election day in one of the world's most powerful nations and one our staunchest ally but American media is fixated on a lunch date between an Ooompa Loompa and an unemployed civil servant
Nanker Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Well, you know... priorities. The Coup attempt must go on. Forward!

Magox Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Well it is so passe' among British nationalists that are now a main staple of Fox news to bash on May because she isn't the Trumpian/Farage sort of candidate that they craze, that who knows? Maybe she won't have the nationalist base to push her through the finish line. Then again, there is the other guy Corbyn who I hear is wholly unacceptable to many British voters.

From all i've read even Labour people hate him. He's like the Hillary Clinton figure.
Nanker Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 I make the call? "Elooo luv. Just giving you a tinkle on the blower, I am, to say elooo. Shall we go out for fish 'n chips tonight? Perfect. Sounds smashing!" What do I win?
Benjamin Franklin Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 A snap election is not exactly earth shattering.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 A snap election is not exactly earth shattering. Not nearly as earth shattering as a made-up witch hunt that has no documented basis in reality you mean?
row_33 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Since my first observed UK election in 1970,when the polls were totally wrong (worse than the US in 2016) I just sit back and watch without expectation.
Benjamin Franklin Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Not nearly as earth shattering as a made-up witch hunt that has no documented basis in reality you mean? The former director of the FBI is testifying that the president pressured him to shut down an investigation related to a former cabinet member. It's newsworthy, even if you don't like it.
row_33 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 A snap election is not exactly earth shattering. In Canada and the UK, the mass media and "intellectuals" call it a SNAP ELECTION with EVIL INTENT when the Conservatives call it, when the Liberals or Labour do it they call it RIGHTEOUS and GODLY. You know the routine... The former director of the FBI is testifying that the president pressured him to shut down an investigation related to a former cabinet member. It's newsworthy, even if you don't like it. you know this ALREADY!!!?????? are you Kreskin?

row_33 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 He is? I've heard no such thing. what if this totally falls apart, and it's deservedly so? then what are these people going to spend 15 hours a day worrying about???
DC Tom Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 The former director of the FBI is testifying that the president pressured him to shut down an investigation related to a former cabinet member. It's newsworthy, even if you don't like it. Cabinet member? You mean Flynn? His wasn't a cabinet position.
Deranged Rhino Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Cabinet member? You mean Flynn? His wasn't a cabinet position. Details, what do they matter?
row_33 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Cabinet member? You mean Flynn? His wasn't a cabinet position. Don't let easily googled facts get in the way for these people. They are determined something evil has happened, then their life won't be in the gutter any more. Blaming Trump for one's crappy existence is like blaming Ronald McDonald for your cheeseburger not having two pickles on it?
/dev/null Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Not this american I love UK politics me too I'm gonna squeeze in UK coverage during Game 6 intermissions Tonite Last year I flipped between Brexit coverage and a CFL game
