H2o Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Vet minimum for Fred is over million, isn't it? Right at $1,000,000 it would be. I wouldn't guarantee any money though. Give old Fred a shot.
BmarvB Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Give him the one year deal. he's earned the opportunity to retire as a Bill.
26CornerBlitz Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Give him the one year deal. he's earned the opportunity to retire as a Bill. Just hand a roster spot to him because he's a great guy? Not gonna happen.
Houston's #1 Bills Fan Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Just hand a roster spot to him because he's a great guy? Not gonna happen. No, but if you need 1/2 a yard and the guy is super respected in the locker room, yeah, $1MM is cheap for his contributions. How much did Reggie Bush steal from us last year?

How much did Reggie Bush steal from us last year? No room for misty eyed nostalgia. Fred Jackson is done and not worth a roster spot. Making a mistake with Bush last season has nothing to do with bringing Jackson back in '17. Onward! Edited June 9, 2017 by 26CornerBlitz

TheFunPolice Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 It would be a great story if he could still play. Maybe he can. Why not let him battle in camp for the 53rd spot? I would love to see it, but I think a coach would want a young RB who the team can develop in that spot.
John from Riverside Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I am a huge Fred fan I worry that he simply doesnt have anything left in the tank....and I dont want to see him that way.
jeffismagic Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Bringing back Fred would just be an embarrassing move for a team that can't get out of its own way.
John from Riverside Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Bringing back Fred would just be an embarrassing move for a team that can't get out of its own way. Makes you wonder why fans would even follow a team like that.......what are they.....Robert Woods type crazy?
PromoTheRobot Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Is this Fred story even a thing? No mention from Sal on 'GR yesterday.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Right at $1,000,000 it would be. I wouldn't guarantee any money though. Give old Fred a shot. ........yup......part of the "Harvin & Bush Entitlement Program"................
Manther Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I would love this...he may not even make the team but at least this would satisfy his need to know if he could make it. He can't be much worse than Reggie Bush..Thy is funny because it's true!
Spiderweb Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I say bring back Gary McDermott. Ah. The player who was cut to give OJ number 32? Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk

Wayne Arnold Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 This is fake news. jw Thanks John. I was about to ask if this "report" is (a) legit, (b) a lie, or © a wish. I would love to see Freddy in a Bills uniform at training camp but doubt it's very realistic.
26CornerBlitz Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 This is fake news. jw ADD: The Bills have not contacted Fred. Seemed like a bunch of Bolshevik to me from the outset. Onward!
Rocky Landing Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 No room for misty eyed nostalgia. Fred Jackson is done and not worth a roster spot. Making a mistake with Bush last season has nothing to do with bringing Jackson back in '17. Onward! Out of curiosity, did you think he was done when he was originally cut? I didn't, although, I did think he was about to play his last season. His last play as a Bill, albeit in preseason, was fantastic, and included an awesome stiff-arm against a worthy opponent, iirc.
RyanC883 Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Bring him back. If he can earn the spot in came that is great. If not, they tried and he can retire as a Bill. Win-Win.
