gr8billsfan Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Dropping knowledge late night. You will get flamed if this doesn't turn out to be correct, so gutsy move. However, it also sounds like a very good possibility. Kudos to you either way Hoping he is correct. He has the scoop better than Adam Schefter.
K D Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 INteresting. Is your source the other Maclin thread that reported this 3 hours prior?
gr8billsfan Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 INteresting. Is your source the other Maclin thread that reported this 3 hours prior? Whoops, didn't see another mention. Mods can delete.
transplantbillsfan Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 My personal insider claims Jeremy Maclin is on his way to Buffalo to sign a 1-year $4-5 Million contract with pending incentives. Waiting for more sources to confirm. If true, this would be great! Whoop whoop!!! I'd love this!!! ... unless we're now trading Watkins...
K D Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Whoops, didn't see another mention. Mods can delete. It's all good. This will deserve it's own thread once he signs officially so we just have a little bit of a head start!
BaaadThingsMan Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 If true I like this move. Adds talent, small risk at one year. He got cut for a reason so if Beane talked to Reid and feels comfortable with it then wth! Not Maclins fault Smith doesn't use his WRs.
nucci Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 If true I have to apologize to a poster or 2...I said he would not sign a 1 year deal
CDogg20 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 From Rotoworld's Maclin page: Jason Fitzgerald of Overthecap.com recently estimated Maclin would command $5 million annually. Would take Maclin @ $5M > Woods @ $7M Exactly. Great way to look at it. Who would have thunk we would get an upgrade over rob for cheaper this off-season?
bills522 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 (edited) https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/872017886147162113 Per Shefty Former Chiefs' WR Jeremy Maclin is scheduled to visit Buffalo today, with plans being made to visit Baltimore on Wednesday, per source. ...Sounds like the Bills will get one day to close it out, we'll see Edited June 6, 2017 by bills522
Wayne Cubed Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter More Former Chiefs' WR Jeremy Maclin is scheduled to visit Buffalo today, with plans being made to visit Baltimore on Wednesday, per source. Right, who's stationed at the airport. Someone call Jim and take him out for a tour of Buffalo, hopefully he see's some deer.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Visits planned don't mean much, just leverage.
GunnerBill Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 If Maclin signs don't be surprised if Andre Holmes doesn't end up on the 53. He was the classic kind of low price vet insurance signing that teams make pre-draft to cover themselves. If Zay and Sammy are good to go by the end of camp and Maclin is on board they could go with that as their top 3 and a combination of Brown / Butler / Tate / Powell / Listenbee to make up the back end of the depth chart at the receiver spot and to play special team. Would help them in the old comp pick formula as well.
Best Player Available Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Great news. It would be nice if they had space to lock him up for 2-3 years.......... Now all that needs too happen is for Sammy to go too a "good feets" store in Florida and this mofo is on.
BillsFanForever19 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Bills Fanatics page has to be praying the Baltimore visit doesn't happen. Any legitimacy they had would go out the window in my eyes after reporting we had him signed last night.
Blokestradamus Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Right, who's stationed at the airport. Someone call Jim and take him out for a tour of Buffalo, hopefully he see's some deer. Astro has been stalking the PegulaJet again
Charles Romes Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 A Rex/Whaley splash move for an expensive injury prone player on the decline.
Watkins101 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Chiefs lose a great reciever due to cap problems: please, Lord let them tank now.
Blokestradamus Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 A Rex/Whaley splash move for an expensive injury prone player on the decline. He's missed 10 games in the 7 seasons he's been able to play (and the lost year to an ACL tear in 2013). One catastrophic failure and a bunch of niggly issues doesn't seem much like being injury prone to me.
