LI_Bills Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Wednesday/Thursday of this week I had the pleasure of accompanying my youngest on the 5th grade overnight trip to Gettysburg. On the way there he was pre-occupied and I bit my tongue. On the way back when we passed Kutztown he was similarly pre-occupied but I had to let him know about a certain hall of famer. Back in the day Reed/Kutztown comments were obligatory. Yesterday it was obligatory for me as well.
Ennjay Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 A little off topic, but Al DeRogatis (anyone else remember him?) always called Al Bemiller "Albie Miller." I hated that and couldn't understand why no one at NBC ever corrected him. Jamie Mueller from tiny Benedictine. And Don Beebe from Tiny Chadron State. With Tiny Benedictine and Tiny Coe, is Tiny some kind of franchiser that opens up colleges here and there?
BuffAlone Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Austin Rehkow kicked a 67-yard field goal in high school.Really? Holy crap! Thats impressive. Is the record still 63 in the nfl? I knew it was tied, but i thought i recall it being beat a few years back...?
ExWNYer Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 "The Bills currently hold the NFL's longest active streak for non-playoff seasons."

Hurricane Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 (edited) "The Bills currently hold the NFL's longest active streak for non-playoff seasons."Don't they have the longest streak going in all of the major sports? Edited May 27, 2017 by Hurricane
leonbus23 Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 With every new coach: "The Bills new coach __________ brings in a new attitude and wants to create a new team identity."
BuffAlone Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Every single game we heard "No,they're not booing, they're saying Bruuuuuce!!"
Fadingpain Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 It was mentioned up front, but the all time greatest example of this phenomenon is the Ray Bentley "Darby the Dinosaur" thing. In fact, I think these obligatory snippets of information should be referred to as "Darby Dabs" going forward.
ChasBB Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 (edited) Thurman Thomas wrote "Super Bowl" on his cleats during training camp leading up to Buffalo's 1st Super Bowl appearance to help set the team's mindset and goals for the season. It worked! If any current Bill is so inclined to do something like this, please change to "Win Super Bowl". Edited May 27, 2017 by ChasBB

He never went a day without his sweat pants and obligatory bills long sleeve. He loved talking bills.
