I`m old..Grease,American Graffiti,Carrie, The last picture show,Breaking away, fast break, magic, cooley high,class of 44. pretty maids all in a row. Wow,These were all in the 70`s.

No !@#$ing doubt about it. If you went to high school in the 70's it's Dazed and Confused. They nailed it.

 

That's the closest to the reality of my HS experience.

It's actually longer. I think youtube took down the full song. But, it is short anyway.

Yeah... I noticed that. I was commenting on how punk songs fit under the 2:00-2:30 form limit.

 

In the movie she did say "she wrote it for The Ramones;... Maybe the song embodied the true punk template for length of song. The actual song by The Ramones is only about 20 seconds longer than 2:00... Under 2 & maybe even 1:00 and a pubk song embodies the spirit of the genre even more.

 

"Short, fast and loud." I gotta admit, listening to the old school stuff really sounds slow though conpared to today's fast pace scream fests!

 

But I catch your drift, seeing what passes as retro chicks jumping around in Phys.Ed class never goes out of style. :-)
