"Gee, I'm really sorry your mom blew up."

Also, I'm going to give Grosse Point Blank an honorable mention. It's a high school reunion movie, so...

"Man, that's a real shame when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that."

and to the latter: "You can never go home again, Altman, but you can shop there."

Wasn't that during middle school?

:)

Damn, you're right. In my defense, it was all in a one room school house, so it gets a little blurry.

I enjoyed the breakfast club but didn't find it realistic to my high school ....

I did find Fast times at Ridgemont high to be very realistic to my high school days 1976-1980 ... so I'll go with that one.

Don't think anyone mentioned Hoosiers yet.

There was another movie from the 80s Lucas I just recalled that was pretty good. I went to look it up just now and read what apperantly happened to Corey Haim on the set of it. Cant ever look at it the same way

Did anybody mention this classic?... How can it miss with the Ramones!

Rock 'n' Roll High School (1979)

"...Rock, rock, rock 'n' roll high school

I just want to have some kicks

I just want to get some chicks

Rock, rock, rock, rock, rock 'n' roll high school..."

Something about this I really like:

I remember Dazed and Confused being totally spot on - but thinking that I really never have to watch that again. I don't remember it really having much of a plot.

Besides just liking the movie in general the bully in that movie is an actor that also managed my daughter for a stiint.....had dinner with him and his family and a really good guy.

Richard Tyson? I remember him from Kindergarten Cop too.

It's actually longer. I think youtube took down the full song. But, it is short anyway.

Trick or Treat. When I was a kid, older brother got me into metal. I was the only 'banger at school. Got a bit crap for it. Seeing Megadeth's album, a Lizzy Borden sticker (early Borden years,), seeing Ozzy. It was all relevant to my schooling. It's also when hair metal was growing, not a fan.
