26CornerBlitz Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 @ChrisTrapasso Notable athletic comparables for new #Bills LB Gerald Hodges http://bit.ly/2rl6M9y
Blokestradamus Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I'd prefer a comparison with zach brown instead of preston Hodges - Overall 82.4, Run D 80.8, Coverage 73.8 Z Brown - Overall 84.1, Run D 75.9, Coverage 82.0
BuffaloHokie13 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Hodges - Overall 82.4, Run D 80.8, Coverage 73.8 Z Brown - Overall 84.1, Run D 75.9, Coverage 82.0 yay, no more 200 yard rushers! no, but really, thanks!
Chandler#81 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Great signing! He would have fit in with any team he auditioned for, so its statement about how he feels he can be an impact on this defense and team.
ndirish1978 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I would have put money on us not getting him. This is pretty cool. WLB is his to lose.
Blokestradamus Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 yay, no more 200 yard rushers! no, but really, thanks! If we end up with a Hodges/Ragland/Alexander base LB group, run fits should be much better. Hodges is seriously good vs the ground game.
YoloinOhio Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 (edited) Well it was Chip Kelly... @maioccoNBCS #49ers showed no interest in re-signing him. He was deactivated for game late in season for violating team rules. http://www.csnbayarea.com/49ers/49ers-lb-hodges-deactivation-was-coaches-decision Edited May 25, 2017 by YoloinOhio
GunnerBill Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 If we end up with a Hodges/Ragland/Alexander base LB group, run fits should be much better. Hodges is seriously good vs the ground game. That with Preston (inside) and Humber (outside) as depth sounds a little more encouraging.
BuffaloBillsGospel Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 We found our weakside LB... Hodges, Ragland and Alexander, if nothing else our run defense should be a heck of alot better.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 (edited) If we end up with a Hodges/Ragland/Alexander base LB group, run fits should be much better. Hodges is seriously good vs the ground game. Humber and PB can rotate in... the 2 rookies as well. Its not a bad position all things considered. I'm more concerned about the DE depth at this stage. Give us your tired, your poor, your WRs that are ineligible because of military service, your delinquent locker room disrupters, your starting QB punchers, your team bullies.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 so Hyde Poyer? Darby White Ragland Hodges Alexander Hughes Dareus Williams Lawson and then sub Seymour for Rags/LorAx for Nickel?
Blokestradamus Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I'm more concerned about the DE depth at this stage. That's probably the area I'm most unsure about. I like Ryan Davis but, after him, it's unproven guys, rookies and a former Arena Leaguer. Curse you not being healthy, Scott Crichton!!!!
Eric Moulds on my A** Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 so Hyde Poyer? Darby White Ragland Hodges Alexander Hughes Dareus Williams Lawson and then sub Seymour for Rags/LorAx for Nickel? Connect the dots, lala, la la (best peewee voice)
Real McClappy Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Humber and PB can rotate in... the 2 rookies as well. Its not a bad position all things considered. I'm more concerned about the DE depth at this stage. Not a bad signing overall. Much more worried about our JV secondary. If we don't get constant QB pressure as well though this current secondary will get absolutely torched all day.
