Flynn DID lie to the FBI. He plead guilty to it. You do not know he lied to cover up anything for 45. The very fact they could only get Flynn on process crimes in relation to that infamous call shows that the call itself was benign. The very fact Flynn lied to the FBI about something he knew they'd know he was lying about is evidence that a larger game is afoot. 

 

It's just not the game you have been hoping for. Buckle up, buttercup. You're in for a bumpy ride the next few weeks.

Speculating of course but how do you really reward someone for doing something corrupt? You don't reward them directly, you reward their spouse so the new money flowing in isn't connected. 

 

Of course, that's crazy. No one is that corrupt in the government...

I think there's more to that affair than meets the eye. It's a bomb but not what dems think.....

Prepare to be disappointed. 

 

He had to lie because he knew the FBI was leaking like a sieve. If he answered the question honestly, about a call he knew wasn't illegal and in no way had to do with collusion, and that answer had leaked to the press in January - it would have crippled the administration. General Flynn fell on the sword to protect the administration. Not from the people finding out the truth of a legal call, but to protect it from the USIC which was at the time attempting to pull off a coup. 

 

Even if you're not a Trump fan, which I'm not, you have to respect what Flynn did now that we know more about what happened. The FBI tried to manipulate Flynn into hurting the administration by answering honestly about an event that was in no way illegal. They !@#$ed up and forgot Flynn is not just a spook, but perhaps one of the greatest American intelligence operators in its history.

Andrew Weissmann is Robert Mueller’s top assistant in the Russia probe. He is also a member of the anti-Trump resistance.

 

This is no longer a suspicion. We know it’s true because Judicial Watch obtained an email Weissmann sent to fellow resistance member Sally Yates after she refused to comply with President Trump’s order to issue a travel ban. Weissmann gushed:

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton calls this “an astonishing and disturbing finding.” Well, disturbing anyway. I’m not astonished. Weissmann’s praise reflects the view of many liberal lawyers in Washington, D.C. I bet it’s shared widely within Mueller’s team.

 

In any case, it’s clear that Mueller’s right hand man is a blatant anti-Trump partisan. His presence on Mueller’s team compromises the integrity, if any, of that operation.

 

To make matters worse, Sally Yates, the resistance member Weissmann holds in awe, figures in the investigation Mueller’s team has conducted. She’s the one who, according to hertestimony to Congress, informed White House Counsel Don McGahn that Michael Flynn had made untrue statements about his talks with the Russian ambassador, and discussed with McGahn possible criminal prosecution of Flynn.

Yates, then, might become an important witness in an investigation for alleged obstruction of justice by the president. Her veracity might be pivotal.

 

It might also be contested. Major Garrett of CBS News reports that “sources with direct knowledge” say that Yates never told the White House Counsel what she testified she told him regarding Flynn’s legal jeopardy.

 

Yates can take comfort that her veracity will be judged by a team whose number 2 guy (and likely other members) holds her in awe.
