Prosecutors say Flynn was told by the senior member of Trump transition team to reach out to other countries to influence the U.N. vote to delay or defeat the resolution

Prosecutors say Flynn spoke with a 'senior official' of Trump's transition team who was at Mar-a-Lago resort in December 2016 to discuss what to communicate to Russian ambassador

“The fact that Flynn was charged with, and is pleading guilty to, such a minor crime, suggests a bombshell of a deal with prosecutors," said Cornell law professor Jens Ohlin. "Flynn was facing serious criminal liability for a variety of alleged missteps, including his failure to register as an agent of a foreign power. If this is the entirety of the plea deal, the best explanation for why Mueller would agree to it is that Flynn has something very valuable to offer in exchange: damaging testimony on someone else.”

You're not reporting any facts. A Cornell Prof offering his opinion is not fact no matter if he is an attorney or not. If Elle Woods can be an attorney. Anyone can.

His damaging information could be against anyone. Still I will bet you Trump doesn't get removed from office over this.

Funny how this happens on a Friday when it'll get washed away with the weekend. And I bet by Monday some Hollywood figure will be outed for a scandal, a mass shooting occurs and Trump tweets something stupid.  But, come Monday, this will be page 6 material.

LOL..................let's all switch positions now in the Repub/Dem square-dance......................

Libs -------- ""we knew that he was always an honorable man...........forget our earlier smears"

Cons ----- " "Flynn's a democrat who used to work for Obama"

I'm not going to disagree. They probably have Trump dead to rights, he probably is a traitor and nothing will be done because all the bigots in the country love him so much

Not the best day for you... huh bro...what with the SF thing and now this?

At least you are following the DT playbook...

1. Didn't happen....

2. Didn't happen like that...

3. Wasn't that big a deal....

4. What about that....

HA HA, the safety circle just keeps getting smaller

This is the best post yet. Sure, it was only the transition team. Jared? Dumb Don jr? Pence?

this was in December, after the election and during the transition phase.

so what do we have except a "process crime"

No crime committed except answering a question wrong about something that wasn't a crime in the first place.

Not exactly a bombshell, given this is the reason Flynn was fired.

No, no... it's victory and proof of collusion!

... How they arrive at that conclusion is beyond me, but that's what they FEEL so that's what it IS. A year plus of propaganda has an effect.

More Trump lies!  You don't understand the outrage!  Stop denying the hate of the Nazi Trump working with Russia!

He was technically a private citizen at the time, not just talking to Russians but setting foreign policy which, as a private citizen, he cannot do.

I'm not sure that legal hair-splitting has ever been applied before - Obama, for example, did a foreign policy tour of Europe as part of his 2008 campaign, and talked to a good number of European leaders.  It's a significantly grayer issue than Flynn, since Obama was a sitting Senator and on the Senate committee for Foreign Relations, thus entitled to "fact-finding" visits to foreign countries...but it was explicitly part of his campaign, so not entirely honest either.

As long as Trump will pardon his supporters I don't expect  too much from this. I don't know what advantage they would have saying anything to go against Trump .
