So, Strzok's explanation of the infamous text was that the American people would reject Trump after he insulted the immigrant family of a fallen war hero.  You had a Democrat say he should get the purple heart and then a Republican lambasting him for having an affair proving his lack of character (at least it wasn't with a porn star).  Congress can always be counted on to reveal their partisan biased questions.  Today's hearing won't change anybody's mind.

Just ask Michelle Bachman.

Shoe on the other foot, and let's face it, dude is getting precisely what he deserves. Thank God he's a Dem. If he was a Republican, who knows how many assclowns would be outside his house screaming at his wife.

I just want some idea when I should expect to see people actually go to jail, or some kind of penalty for this behavior.

I don't think Strzok will be held accountable in a meaningful way. Maybe he will lose his job....big !@#$ing deal. Some other organization will hire him, or he will do some kind of book tour, be treated like a hero, and make even more money.

"The Comey, Strzok, and Page Package Tour coming to a Barnes & Noble near you!"

I'm losing my patience.

Government work means one is exempt from their behaviour outside of gross criminality, otherwise one would never take it on

I just wish we could see even one higher level official in the deep state who was a mature and thinking adult, who demonstrates they could handle a basic conversation

The best police I worked with didn’t get to thr top levels, they stayed on major files for years, and were among the most admirable people I have ever met

they were too human to get into the maelstrom of politics and starting each new promotion hungrily looking towards the next two promotions

Strzok’s claim of no bias so ridiculous that even CNN’s political director calls BS

Only a fool or a Democrat (the two groups considerably overlap in the United States) would believe Peter Strzok’s claim under oath that it was only the appearance of bias, not actual bias, that was the problem with his texts to his inamorata Lisa Page. Yet, the Democrats in the joint committee hearing were eager to hitch their wagon to his fate.  One of them, Rep Steve Cohen of Memphis, offended many people with his claim that Strzok deserved a “Purple Heart,” oblivious to the genuine grievous physical injuries that have been honored with this medal that he trivialized.

I can only assume that Democrats believe that because Strzok was out to harm Trump, they must defend him. But linking their political fate to Strzok’s ridiculous-on-its-face claim was so stupid, that even CNN’s political director apparently felt compelled to speak out. I think that was the look on Trump's face when he heard Cohen say Strzok deserves a Purple Heart.

Strzok Admits He ‘Detested’ Trump, But Was Still Unbiased

You know...I'm on record as thinking DACA is absolutely horrible, for several reasons I've stated before.  I think it's one of the most dishonest things the Trump administration ever did, and I detest it.

I also work on it.

My personal hatred of it does not interfere with my work.  I believe it should be killed post-haste, and reinstated properly by Congress with the appropriate legal authority to grant the rights and responsibilities it pretends to (but doesn't) grant currently.  But I also accepted responsibility for a portion of its implementation, and I execute that responsibility faithfully on behalf of the country without consideration for my personal opinions on it.  Because as an adult, it is possible for me to take responsibility for and execute a task faithfully that I may personally disagree with.  It is entirely possible for someone to "detest" something, but still be unbiased.

The difference between me and Strzok, however, is that I never told anyone "Don't worry, we'll stop this!"  Strzok wasn't biased because he detested Trump, he was biased because he expressly said he was.

This is a good distinction

Thank you!

a) reality and what is humanly possible; and

b) dreaming up the best of all worlds and demanding it be implemented right now.

Day after Strzok, RR moving to make news. DOJ has no comment. Last time this kind if surprise announcement was made RR indicted 13 Russians.

should be interesting to see if we are getting a distraction or something real.

Link to the presser:

Supposedly it's law enforcement related, not Mueller related (but not confirmed).

If it's Mueller related, I'd expect Coen to be indicted (big show to distract from Strzok/Page). Could possibly be Glenn Simpson related since he got forked by Strzok yesterday.

Scratch that - reporters on the open mic saying it's definitely Mueller related and an indictment coming. So expect Coen.

Can't have anyone hearing anything about Strozk and Page.

Nope, no-sir-ee.
