At that point, he wouldn't have needed to do that, just to promote some new media outlet he intended to create. Because Trump is a showman, an attention whore, and not one to turn away free publicity. He basically went on a RNC funded publicity tour Up until Hiliary tripped over her dick with that Deplorables gaffe. That was when the campaign shifted 1
Prickly Pete Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 (edited) nah. I don't believe he would put so much of his family in such dangerous circumstances. If he wanted to lose, he would have. He has had a few opportunities to either drop out, or resign. And telling HRC that she "(should) be in jail" during a debate, doesn't seem like a very good way to collude with your opponent. But I doubt any of them ever seriously planned on winning. Donald Trump has a track record of doing business by leveraging somebody else's assets in his favor. He played the RNC into funding a whirlwind publicity campaign That said, once Trump saw his opening with Hiliary's Deplorables blunder he seized the opportunity.

He didn’t expect to win Very few losing candidates have expected to win the last 50 years, only Gore/Kerry/Hillary expected to win
Prickly Pete Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 (edited) I don't think he planned on winning either. And yes, I know plenty of losers went in not expecting to win. Edited March 3, 2018 by OJABBA

What was interesting with the polling (and part of the reason the state polls were wrong) is that most of the undecideds went to Trump. Trump's marathon rally stops the day before the election could have swayed some of the voters. Trump held 10 campaign rallies in the last two days. That hard work had to factor in to some people's minds that really didn't like either candidate to vote for Trump. Meanwhile, Hillary thought Lebron James, Bon Jovi, Jay Z, Bruce Springsteen, and James Taylor would push her over the finish line. 1

That was worth a lot of votes. Yeah, Pearl, we heard all about Trump's ulterior motive / backup plan to create a new media channel a-la OWN - the Okra channel. But that's all that was - a backup plan. He's toyed with the concept of running for President since he first published "The Art of the Deal," if not longer. He's always been ambitious, and he's been exhaulted in the media -- Ante his transformation to a Republican. He knows how to promote himself and his brand. He's the Jim McMahon of politicians, and I mean that in every sense.

But there's an even bigger story regarding the 2016 Presidential election. But Donald Trump, a master at media, knew how to avoid. The MSM knows it, too. But they're not interested in the truth. They just want to destroy Donald Trump and Donald Trump might even be allowing them to do it. For the same ulterior reason, of course. Oh, yeah! Donna Brazile replaced Debbie Wasserman-Schulz as DNC Chair. Didn't Donna Brazile get into trouble for giving Hillary Clinton debate questions before Clinton debated Bernie Sanders? Brazile was working for MSNBC at the time. It was a Wikileak that disclosed that, too. And if my memory is correct, Donald Trump didn't make an issue out this, either. Interesting, No? That means you have little pride in what you do or say. How long does it take a person to read over what they have written? Maybe they aren't typos though, and you just don't know how to spell.
