It sure would. Yes, he can, but that doesn't mean he can lawfully
Tiberius Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Good! These attempts to distort, discredit and mislead about the FBI investigation boarder on obstruction of justice Quote Republicans’ fictional plots are now fodder for Democrats. “Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer slammed Republicans Thursday for what he described as ‘delusional’ and ‘paranoid’ attempts to discredit the FBI — singling out GOP Sen. Ron Johnson for a particularly harsh rebuke.” Tough but fair. Make Johnson turn up evidence of his accusation about a cabal of FBI agents. “Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) on Thursday called on Sen. Ron Johnson to turn over information about an unnamed informant that the Wisconsin Republican claims told him about secret ‘off-site’ meetings of FBI officials.” Good for her. Republicans shouldn’t get a free pass to spread nonsense. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/wp/2018/01/26/morning-bits-a-bad-day-for-conspiracy-theorists/?utm_term=.4f862c36d0d0

It's 100% consistent with everything we know about Trump. Hothead, impulsive, ego-hurt. Lucky for him, there was at least one cooler head available at the time. Someone that wasn't out to only find fault might look at it from the point of view that this is an example of Trump's good judgement in hiring advisors.

Now Trump's lawyers are trying to protect the idiot. From the WSJournal: Quote President Donald Trump’s legal team has been studying a 1990s federal court ruling that could be the basis for delaying, limiting or avoiding an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, who is heading an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to people familiar the matter. If he has information about a conspiracy with the Russians he should have to talk. If our president is compromised we deserve to know. If he has to go to jail for the good of the country, I'd be willing to help defend that action against any and all who hopefully would sacrifice their worthless lives to stop that.
