Carter Page did not open his mouth in that segment, proving how naïve he was?

Forget that part, Tibs is calling the guy who - according to his theory for two years (and the Steele dossier) is a super duper, top secret double agent for Moscow worthy of making a deal worth upwards of $25b - naive.

While leaving out the part where Page worked for the FBI busting up Russian spy rings as late as 2015.

It's always been nonsense. Page was never a Russian asset.

My theory? I had no theory about Carter Page, you are the one that always brings him up. But after watching him last night it's easy to see he could have been putty in the hands of the Russians.

You have no no idea if he was used by Russia or not.

Buzzfeed is back. They have posted the plans for Trump Towers. Putin was holding out to Trump the prospect of building biggest building in Europe. Putin knew how to entice a willing asset.

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/azeenghorayshi/here-are-the-trump-moscow-plans

Quote

The plan was dazzling: a glass skyscraper that would stretch higher than any other building in Europe, offering ultra-luxury residences and hotel rooms and bearing a famous name. Trump Tower Moscow, conceived as a partnership between Donald Trump’s company and a Russian real estate developer, looked likely to yield profits in excess of $300 million

The tower was never built, but it has become a focal point of the investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller into Trump’s relationship with Russia in the lead-up to his presidency.

Quote

The president and his representatives have dismissed the project as little more than a notion — a rough plan led by Trump’s then-lawyer, Michael Cohen, and his associate Felix Sater, of which Trump and his family said they were only loosely aware as the election campaign gathered pace.

On Monday, his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, said “the proposal was in the earliest stage,” and he went on to tell the New Yorker that “no plans were ever made. There were no drafts. Nothing in the file.”

However, hundreds of pages of business documents, emails, text messages, and architectural plans, obtained by BuzzFeed News over a year of reporting, tell a very different story. Trump Tower Moscow was a richly imagined vision of upscale splendor on the banks of the Moscow River.

Byron York: What if Mueller doesn’t give Democrats what they want?

The position of most Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill is that lawmakers are waiting until Trump-Russia special counsel Robert Mueller delivers his report before considering whether to impeach President Trump. But what if Mueller does not accuse the president of wrongdoing, or at least impeachable wrongdoing? Would Democrats say, ‘Never mind,’ put away thoughts of impeachment, and move on to the next item on their agenda?

That seems unlikely. Many Democrats are deeply, emotionally committed to resisting Trump. Sixty-six House Democrats voted to allow impeachment articles to move forward a year ago. Now, with the House in Democratic hands, and after another year of media-hyped Trump-Russia allegations, there’s no reason to believe Democrats would abandon the Russia issue regardless of what Mueller does.

Remember, these are the people who tell us Trump’s the crazy one.

Oh, let the crazy, corrupt man stay. I hope he is the GOP candidate in 2020. This country hates him. He is the Democratic politicians insurance man. Mueller could find he is a traitor and you guys will still support him, so what does it matter anyway.

There is no way you guys would ever support impeachment/conviction, no matter what he has done. Right?

It's part of a larger story. That's all. Putin lured him in. To build it sanctions had to be lifted on the bank that would finance it. Do you see how that works?

Do we have an address (location) yet for the Trump Tower in Moscow? That's usually required for even a Letter of Intent. That and a price and simple things like spelling out due diligence terms. Without a location, no plans can be produced. A rendering is not a plan and is only something used in a sales pitch. Any discussions between Trump's team and the Russkies was at the very preliminary level.

"To build it"... he didn't build it.

"sanctions had to be lifted" ... he was a candidate, not POTUS, he could not lift sanctions.

The Moscow Project is Rob Reiner's fever dream. Nothing more.

Round and round doggy!

That's why Putin helped him win. So he could lift sanctions. Too bad for them Congress said no.

All these has left Trump compromised.

BTW, I've never heard your excuse for Trump meeting Putin alone five times, with no notes, no other senior US government officials present and no one knowing what was said there. I'm sure you think that was all straight up legit diplomacy?
