If this is true, now what? Flynn's charges get overturned and McCabe/Mueller/Strzok are in a heap of trouble. Weisman has history of destroying 302s (Enron) and Judge Sullivan ordered some of those findings from the Enron saga to be turned over to his office (hinting that he knows what happened). If Flynn's conviction is overturned, it's the end of the Mueller probe. The entire foundation of it will be undercut and it'll collapse under its own corruption/weight. There's also this, which Solomon wrote about yesterday but we covered over a year ago: This is about the illegal 702 searches in the FBI CID and NSD... What makes the Flynn sentencing so important (just to recap for others) was covered at length in here about 100+ pages ago. Flynn had to plead guilty to expose the palace coup attempt. He knew they had transcripts of the call, he knew the call was monitored - he also knew the call was in no way illegal. The WaPo ran a story the day before the Jan 24th interview saying the FBI cleared the contents of Flynn's call... THEN Strzok and the other agent showed up to interview. Knowing what we now know about Ignatius's connection to Strzok/McCabe/Brennan from their text messages, and knowing what we know about how Flynn was handled - is it a far stretch to suggest that the WaPo story was run to attempt to make Flynn feel at ease before they tried to entrap them? Uh-huh. There is. But Strzok and Comey underestimated the former DIA chief and forgot who they were trying to ***** with. This is objectively at best incompetence, at a level that wouldn't even pass muster in a bad courtroom drama series. It should be a non-partisan issue: everything against Flynn should be thrown out.
