DOJ Appoints Robert Mueller as Special Counsel - Jerome Corsi Rejects Plea Deal

Are you under the impression the DOJ will change its mind after issuing the opinion? They gave Trump their findings before he made the appointment too.

The appointment is legal. Any attempt to say otherwise is incorrect and dreaming. But the consternation over the appointment by the very same media folk and Hill talk heads who have been lying to us for two years should at least perk your ears up and get you to ask why they are so scared of this appointment?

The answer is that Whitaker knows everything. He ran the leak investigation for Sessions, meaning he not only knows what both committees were up to - but who in the media they were leaking to. He indicted Wolfe, got Wolfe's side piece fired from the NYTs... that's why they're scared of him. It has nothing to do with preserving the rule of law, the rule of law says Whitaker is legit. What it's all about is covering their own *****.

********************************************************

More on the western intelligence asset (who was sold to the public as being a Russian spy), Mifsud:

Here's the skinny on what this is all about. Mifsud was involved in the frame up - he knew he was being used to bait Trump's team. What he didn't know is that his own superiors would list him as a Russian asset in the FISA. He's NOT a Russian asset, he's THEIR asset. Hence why he's been in hiding. If he's dead, he dies a "Russian asset" not a western intelligence asset, and the story gets to keep it's foundation.

If he survives and comes out as a western intelligence agent, not a Russian one, then his entire history of interactions with G-Pap changes... He was literally sent in on a mission, then hung out to dry by his own people - and spent the past two years on the run for his life, not from Russian assets, but Western intelligence assets looking to silence him.

This is what this whole show is about, folks.

This opinion by Justice in no way changes the corrupt nature of why Trump did it, what can still happen to this clown if he interferes with or discloses info to the WH about mueller's investigation. And the fact this corrupt POS should recuse himself also from anything at all to do with the Russia investigation. This is a desperate move by a president who is in some serious legal trouble.

Not trying to argue, honestly looking for an explanation about "the corrupt nature of why Trump did it." Trump, per this release, went to the DOJ and got their opinion first to make sure it was legal. They, being the DOJ, said it was (and it is, there's no legal argument otherwise you can make), so Trump did it.

If the appointment is legal, what's the argument now?

Exactly what is it that "your side" expects from the continuation of the Mueller investigation?  Is there anyone out there that has any evidence to support a belief that Trump or his close campaign/inner circle are guilty of illegal activity with Russians with the intent to change the results of the 2016 election?

Certainly by now if there was any evidence of that it would have been leaked dozens of times and we'd all know about it.

How do we as a nation benefit from continuing this investigation?

LOL It reminds me of the scene in the movie Liar Liar, where Jim Carrey goes, "objection!" and the judge goes on what grounds? and he replies, "because it is really really detrimental to my case!" paraphrasing of course

Trump screaming, yelling and insulting Sessions about his recusal over the Russia investigation and then firing him and hiring a guy who argued against the very same Mueller investigation--even reaching down into the Justice Department to find this clown. That's corrupt. A President who is under investigation, firing a guy who wouldn't do anything about the investigation and hiring someone who seems like he will--in the pursuit of injustice--do something.

Why I even need to explain this is ridicilous. If this was a Democrat this board would be going wild.

Totally corrupt act

Whitaker was Sessions CoS and a high ranking member of the DoJ. The comments made about the Mueller probe were made as a private citizen, not as a spokesman for the DOJ.

Trump could have fired Mueller at any point over the past two years, and hasn't. Instead he has complied with every request made for disclosure by Mueller's team and allowed the work to continue unabated. There's nothing - aside from the political firestorm it would bring - that prevents Trump from firing Mueller.

If he was seeking to do so, if he was doing so for reasons of covering up the investigation, why hasn't he shuttered it?

Isn't it possible you're overreacting to a narrative being pushed on you rather than dispassionately examining the facts at hand?

You can rationalize anything, but we know why he was FIRED and why the other guy was hired. Totally corrupt. I really never wish people to have to go through the hell of prison, but we are seeing open corruption that is a cancer on our government and society and there will be a need for punishment here if he ends the investigation.

Trump has not complied with testifying, has he?

You mean Trump is looking for a guy to throw under the bus to do his dirty work??? You don't say!

No, I'm not overreacting at all.

Totally corrupt

Again, not trying to be difficult (seriously), just trying to have a real conversation. Sessions was not fired. That's a key fact you keep trying to change. If he was fired, RR would be the acting AG. Instead, Sessions was asked to resign and he did.

That's not corrupt or illegal. It's how non-contentious resignations work in DC on both sides of the aisle. As noted earlier, and in the DOJ opinion, 44 did this three times in his administration and no one ever said it was corrupt, illegal, or unconstitutional.

It's been two years, and Trump hasn't shuttered Mueller when he has the legal ability to do so. At what point does the fear of Trump "shuttering Mueller" become hype designed to foment hysteria in the left's base in your mind? If Trump doesn't shut down Mueller before his report is done, would that get you to at least consider that others have been playing on your fears to get you to think emotionally rather than logically?

Reports are all over today that Trump is finishing up the written answers to Mueller's questions. So he is testifying, per the deal reached with Mueller. If Trump were going to shut down the probe, why would he bother answering any questions at all?

Again, not trying to argue just pointing out that the facts and reality do not line up with the "Trump is trying to shut Mueller down" hysteria. Right?

Ya, he asked him to leave after literally harassing him for over a year on twitter and TV. 44 may have done this or that but he did not fire the guy who was leading the department that was investigating him. We all know what's going on here, no need to play dumb. Why was Trump angry at Sessions? The Mueller investigation. Why was this guy picked? He spoke out about the investigation. This is not rocket science. It's corruption.

Technically, everything Trump has done is within his power, except if done with corrupt intent. Which it obviously is.

Why hasn't the president shut down the investigation into him? Really? Even Trump sees that the optics are bad and might not stop anything at all. Obviously he wants it controlled, and it looks like he has found a clown to do his bidding. A guy that worked for a corrupt business that was similiar to Trump University

wow. you sound seriously afraid, Tibs.

what has he done that makes you think he is corrupted? as far as disclosing info on the Mueller investigation, what makes you think that if he were to do this that he couldn't have done it in the position he previously held?
