College scout with Cards before that. Also interesting that Boyd was another personnel man under contract with another team who chose to, and was allowed to, leave for Bills. thebandit27 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Wow...Beane is assembling a very interesting crop of personnel people
26CornerBlitz Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 @BuffaloBillsPR Bills GM Brandon Beane was very pleased to land Boyd for his pro department. “He was my number one choice,” said Beane. “The first guy I targeted. I appreciate (Arizona GM) Steve Keim letting him come over here and interview. It was very kind of him because he was under contract. Malik is talented. He won an award in 2014, the Fritz Pollard Scout of the Year. They don’t just throw those out. He earned it. He’s going to be a great influence on our pro staff. He has a high ceiling.”
ndirish1978 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Looks like another good hire. I do like the way Beane appears to be empowering the guys beneath him to be in charge of their areas.

Steve Keim for letting him interview. Edited May 17, 2017 by Kemp2Warlick
Jamie Muellers Ghost Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 (edited) 2014 NFC scout of the year. When you look at that defensive squad over the lasts 5 years it might tell you what direction we are going. Edited May 17, 2017 by Jamie Muellers Ghost
JoeF Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 (edited) Everyone of the scouting/personnel staff had other jobs. Pegula investments and Beane's recruiting power...a great combination so far... Edited May 17, 2017 by JoeF

GunnerBill Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Really impressive group of guys, all young, all hungry, all good pedigree.
Jamie Muellers Ghost Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 At 46 Boyd is now the oldest member in the front office staff currently
26CornerBlitz Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 @SalSports The Bills are hiring young people who aspire to be GMs themselves one day. Giving them opportunities to prove it. This is a clear plan.
Woodman19 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 (edited) The best teams win first off the field before on the field. This looks like another step in that direction. Edited May 17, 2017 by Woodman19
Green Lightning Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 The pattern of younger guys ready to take the next step is emerging. From McD, Beane on down. Could we be getting it right at long last?
