Excellent starting take. Nothing I would disagree with at this point. Looking at the list at LB makes me a little bit nauseous though.

I feel the same way about the LB's/depth as I do about the Safety's/Depth, scary if one goes down.

I have a funny feeling that we're in for an attempted Zach Brown-like signing at the LB position. Maybe a G. Hodges, P. Riley, or M. Morgan

Nice stuff Gunner. Some changes I would personally make

Nick O'Leary in blue

Jordan Mills in red

Leonard Johnson in red

Colton Schmidt in red

Agreed. Those are the only changes I'd make except maybe changjng Vallejo to red as well

Yea I can see the argument for all of those. I had O'Leary in Blue at one point but I still think they will try and add a Tight End if one shakes loose.

If it were otherwise, they wouldn't have brought in Gary Barnidge. Enough said!

I think TE Towbridge and TE Croom should be added and in red...one could make the team over O'Leary (so change him to red) and another over Thomas depending on how well Thomas does...and I think Rehkow beats Schmidt since he can kick-off and fill in for FG/XP if our K gets injured...I also think Tolbert will be listed as HB and not fully on the RB or FB list...I wouldnt be surprised to see CB Shareece Wright make the team...maybe move him to blue

Love the concept OP. Well done.

As an O Line junkie ... here is my take on the OL

Offensive Line

Cordy Glenn - there is a small chance that he's moved to RT if Ducasse or Dawkins don't work out.. but either way he is definitely on the roster

Richie Incognito - played at very high level last year...highly unlikely he is salary cap cut. team hoping to get one more good year out of him

John Miller - improved greatly last year despite having a tire fire to his right all year. he will not be cut

Ryan Groy - just resigned, played as good or better than Wood filling in for him. He very well may win the starting Center job. At worst he is solid backup center or guard.

Dion Dawkins - will get shot at RT spot. At worst should be valuable backup swing guard or maybe even backup swing tackle

Vlad Ducasse - similar to Dawkins.. will likely get shot at RT. Will most likely be backup guard, emergency tackle

Cyrus Kouandjio - performed very well at LT last year when Glenn was hurt. Assuming his off field problems have been addressed I think he may be able to keep a roster spot. One thing hurting him is his lack of versatility. He was a failure at RT and is not suited to play Guard. However.. he does look comfortable at his natural LT position which is still the key to the O LIne.. especially for a Right Handed QB.

Eric Wood - Groy's play when he was out puts him squarely on the bubble. IMO .. Wood will need to clearly outplay Groy in training camp or else he will likely be cut or traded due to his high cap number and age.

Jordan Mills - Red is an appropriate color for Mills as he was a tire fire for most of last year at RT. Unless there is a rash of injuries I find it highly unlikely that he will be able to hold off his competition. Very likely to be a cut

Seantrel Henderson - so many issues here I don't know where to start. Even when he was healthy he wasn't that good. Maybe Doug Marrone will trade for him.

Patrick Lewis - have seen very little of him in action and having Wood and Groy in the fold it seems unlikely he will be able to hang on to a roster spot

I was just about to post the exact same thing.

I wouldnt put Wood in red...even if he gets beat out by Groy, you have no back-up by getting rid of Wood...both Wood and Groy make the team, which one starts is another question...this could change if they bring in another starting caliber C and no its not Lewis

There is a tendency to overvalue Peterman. Jones was a fifth rounder as well and has a higher ceiling if NFL ceiling has anything to do with arm strength. I caution against overvaluing Peterman and having another 3 year Trent Edwards like experiment.

Excellent thread

What it shows me is how few battles are really going to going on in this years camp. The roster is pretty thin and somewhat untested at many positions (WR, RB, LB, Secondary).

How about keeping the starters out of pads for next couple of months? The Bills can't afford to see anyone go down! And somebody please clear away all the floor mats from St John Fischer.

I really wish people would stop blaming the floormat.

One Doug Marrone and Doug Whaley both stated that Manuel was par tof a qb competition.

Two Kolb was one concussion away from retirement regardless of who or what done it and the Bills medical staff and FO had to know there was no longevity or emote chance he would play the whole year.

Its all nonsense and a poor attempt to rewrite history.

This is my annual attempt to track the chances of players to make the final 53. I always do one early May and then adjust a couple of times as we go. Not all 90 are included and you can assume that I think anyone not in the list at this stage is a longshot, but this year is probably less predictable than the last couple. So I expect this to look nothing like my final prediction the week before final cuts. Players are categorised as below:

BLACK = Certain to be on the roster if healthy

BLUE = Likely to be on the roster if healthy

RED = Fighting for a roster spot

Tyrod Taylor

Nathan Peterman

TJ Yates

Cardale Jones

Josh Woodrum

Patrick DiMarco

Mike Tolbert

LeSean McCoy

Jonathan Williams

Joe Banyard

Jordan Johnson

Wide Receiver

Sammy Watkins

Zay Jones

Andre Holmes

Corey Brown

Jeremy Butler
