Absolutely love Al and Peggy Bundy.

Could also vote for Peter and Lois Griffin.

Archie and Edith Bunker.

Not to name drop, but I recently had dinner with Sally Struthers. She is very good friends with my girlfriend and they have worked in some musicals together. She couldn't have been any nicer. Such a great personality and very down to earth.

This is a good and different topic and there are many ways to interpret best. I'll have to think about this when I have time.

Roseanne Barr has never been associated with the word "best", so maybe you can start there and work backward?

Roseanne and Dan Connor

Dan Conner is one of the all-time great dads.

For all the flak Roseanne Barr gets, that was a really good show for most of its run.

It may be true, but I think less of you for knowing that.

Rob & Laura Petrie. Great parents.

Honorable mention for TV Dad, Ward Cleaver.

OK, so maybe all I remember is Rob falling over the chair...can't remember their kids.

The obvious from my childhood would be Mike and Carol....but eff them and their last name!

I'll throw out Bill (Bixby) Corbett from Courtship of Eddies Father as best dad....widower....or was he?

Ward and June Cleaver.

Even Eddy Haskill would vote for the Cleavers.

Eddy is probably a felon....can he still vote?

(Cant get the multi quotes to work correctly)

If Eddie Haskel went into politics he would have been Bill Clinton.

The actor (Ken Osmond) became an LAPD cop.

It was. And it's coming back with a new premise that people tell me is really good and not just a standard reboot.

ABC and Netflix are bidding over it last I heard. The whole cast is back too.

I think you mixed this up with thread on parents you would want to get drunk with.

And that may be what makes them the best which was my point earlier as to what defines best.
