Another Fan Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I've only been to one chocolate shop in the area, Alethea's in Williamsville. It's still though the best chocolate I've eaten in my life. Back in the 90's there's was a motel I stayed at that was next to the candy shop. A couple years back I saw the motel became a housing complex but Alethea's was still around. It looks just like I remembered it and the chocolate was delicious. Wonderful place. Being I'm not from WNY, is that place well known in the area, or are shops like that the norm?
BringBackFergy Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 The best chocolate I had in Buffalo is on Transit Rd. in Depew called Antoinettes. Get the dark chocolate molasses sucker. Amazing. I think they're still there.
Guffalo Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Watsons, no debate, smooth, rich. The dark chocolate is decadent. The sponge candy is awesome because of the chocolate.

thebandit27 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 There's no one best IMO... Alethea's, Watson's, Parkside, Condrell's...all very, very good.

DriveFor1Outta5 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 I enjoy Parkside and Niagara. I don't understand the Watson's hype. I don't particularly enjoy it.
