Tipster19 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) It's speculative but he is the Ravens' Insider so maybe there is a little fire where there is smoke. I wouldn't be against trading Sammy if the Bills don't intend on re-signing him or aren't able to. They might as get something while they can. A second day 2018 draft pick and a player in return could be comparable (TE Max Williams or a LB?). Oops, I forgot the link! http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-signing-a-free-agent-wide-receiver-may-not-be-ravens-only-option-20170509-story.html Edited May 11, 2017 by Tipster19
Dablitzkrieg Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 If he becomes a free agent, I would assume he is on all 31 teams' radar. Pretty self-explanitory
Coach Tuesday Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 It's speculative but he is the Ravens' Insider Who is "he"? Don't we need that information in order to evaluate your question?
thebandit27 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 From that very article: "There’s been no indication Watkins is available, but with him expected to hit free agency after the 2017 season and a new regime in charge in Buffalo, it wouldn’t hurt to ask."
26CornerBlitz Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 If he becomes a free agent, I would assume he is on all 31 teams' radar. Pretty self-explanitory Pretty much.
John from Riverside Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I honestly dont want to lose Sammy Watkins under any circumstances....IF he is healthy
Tipster19 Posted May 11, 2017 Author Posted May 11, 2017 Buffalo has a new regime, new thinking. Carolina never impressed me with their WRs, matter of fact Carolina's GM Dave Gettleman had the guts to get rid of longstanding WR Steve Smith when he still had a few good years left in him. Who knows what the Bills will do. Only The Great Gazoo knows what is going to happen!
iinii Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 As my Grandfather used to say, "everything is for sale." It's all about what someone is willing to pay.
thebandit27 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I'd consider it for CJ Mosley and a 2018 1st For me, it would take more than that, but not much. Buffalo has a new regime, new thinking. Gettleman also spent a 1st round pick on Kelvin Benjamin and a 2nd round pick on Devin Funchess in back-to-back drafts. They also just spent a 2nd round pick on Curtis Samuel.
Charles Romes Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 He will flash here and there but he will not stay healthy. I just answered my own question on whether we should keep Sammy.
Chuck Wagon Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 They should trade him, the well is already poisoned from not picking up the option and not throwing him the ball.

GoBills808 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 If he becomes a free agent, I would assume he is on all 31 teams' radar. Pretty self-explanitory This. He's on everyone's radar.
LABILLBACKER Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I honestly dont want to lose Sammy Watkins under any circumstances....IF he is healthy
LABILLBACKER Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Agreed. When 100% and we actually target him, he's a top 10 we. This will be his last shot to prove he can stay healthy and perform. If he does he'll be tagged.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Yes. Trade Dareus while we are at it too. **** trade everyone to get that top pick, because who needs a roster when you have a franchise QB? The salary cap says
thebandit27 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) He will flash here and there but he will not stay healthy. I just answered my own question on whether we should keep Sammy. "Flash here and there"? He has the 4th-most receiving yards in the history of the game for a player under the age of 24. He has 2,500 yards and 17 TDs in only 39 games, and in the only stretch of games of his pro career where he averaged close to 10 targets per game, he was the most productive WR in the NFL.
