Poeticlaw Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...yers/99584.html Heres a little fiction(maybe fact) According to the link Mike used to play some DT Maybe since we are stuck with this guy for atleast 2 more years we put him over on the Defensive side of ball 6'5 375 and young maybe he will be a youthfull Big Ted, Then we shore up the offensive line side of the ball by moving Teaugue over to LT get a new quality center and a RT for our young qb and rb. Im waiting for the shots.... but let me know what you think of the idea?
MadBuffaloDisease Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 He played DT against the Pats in the blowout win to open the 2003 season, late in the game. But he needs all the reps he can get at OT.
sfladave Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 We have capable if not great back ups for DT already. We do not have capable back ups for the OL and we don't have the money available to replace 3 positions on the line.
Gavin in Va Beach Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 He plays DT sometimes in goal line situations. Dunno if he'd be effective as a regular DT. He could plug holes though...

Either a LT/RT or a C/RT and there are several serviceable rt/c on the F/A market.
Rico Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 For $9M, he oughta be playing RT and DT, that's one way for him to drop 30-40 lbs.

I believe that all first round picks should have "PRO try out year" at leaugue mininmum and if the team feels they will pan out then sign them to lucrative deal. If he doesnt pan out he could then be released and another team could then sign him to a lucrative deal. That way these worthless rookies can stop taking money away from our valuable veterans.
