Chef Jim Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I would argue that the environment is ripe for an independent who's campaign was built upon opposition to that very brand of politics. But, that could be a ways off still or maybe I am still naive. Technology has cleared at least some of the hurdles third party candidates experience. Unfortunately independents are politicians too. Smart people stay out of politics.
Doc Brown Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 You know the never Trump conservatives are just sitting back eating popcorn at this point.
grinreaper Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I was in the sixth grade when GWB was elected. What proceded was eight years of dems and the liberal media thrashing him every step of the way. Then Obama was elected and what proceded was the right thrashing him every step of the way. Here we are with Trump...guess what happens next. I think it's funny that both sides upon their candidates victories all of a sudden decide, "common guy and gals, let's grow up now and get stuff done.", while the other side is comprised of whiney children until the roles are reversed. The right and the media didn't thrash Obama the whole way. Obama got much of what he wanted. Obama was aloof and never tried to work with the opposition in Congress. His way was to either jam things down our throats or make unconstitutional EO's. His "elections have consequences" and telling the right that they could go to the back of the bus was not only indicative of his arrogance, but put his disdain for people that disagreed with him on display. The other thing is you never saw those on the right rioting and destroying property. They don't try to suppress free speech like the left is doing. When Obama was POTUS we didn't hear about the evils of Gitmo or the collateral deaths from drone strikes. Nothing was really said about our loss of military people in the field. Trump loses a Navy Seal on a mission and the left and MSM is all over it. Comey was evil until he was fine and then was evil again and should be fired until he was fired and then liberals get their titties all in a wringer over it.. Liberals are by-in-large hypocrites whose hidden motto is "the end justifies the means". You know the never Trump conservatives RINOS are just sitting back eating popcorn at this point. Fixed it for you.
DC Tom Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 PAST PERFORMANCE IS NO GUARANTEE OF FUTURE RESULTS: Waters is openly advocating for rule by personality cult. She is embarrassingly stupid.
IDBillzFan Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Waters is openly advocating for rule by personality cult. She is embarrassingly stupid. It could be argued easily that the biggest difference between the conservative base and the liberal base is that the conservative base would never, ever, ever keep re-electing idiots like Waters or Jackson Lee or Pelosi. The amount of stupidity that comes out of their pieholes is pathetic. You literally have to go full-goose Alan Grayson in Florida to lose your seat. And even then he STILL almost made it back in, even after beating his wife. Is it any wonder more people don't mock these douchenozzles.

He does a good thing (China trade) then admits he fired Comey at least partially over Russian probe. It's like watching Gollum govern our country. And LA, let's not let the right off the hook so easily. The Reps are blindlessly following their own morons. Edited May 12, 2017 by Benjamin Franklin

B-Man Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 FAKE NEWS: Rod Rosenstein Says He is Not Resigning and Never Threatened To. Rod Rosenstein is not resigning and has never threatened to do so. The final definitive account came from the Deputy Attorney General’s own mouth. Liz McKernan, a Senior Online News Producer at Sinclair Broadcast Group, managed corner Rosenstein in Washington and managed to pry the answers out of him as he walked down a hallway. “No I’m not quitting,” said Rosenstein. When pressed about whether he threatened to quit, Rosenstein responded “no.” That ought to settle that, but I have the feeling the meme will live on.
row_33 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 If one threatened to resign they would be escorted out of the building within 2 minutes.
OCinBuffalo Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 (edited) Uh oh somebody doesn't like how this story is actually turning out: Enough with the Charges of Democratic Hypocrisy(Atlantic ) For Trump Supporters, the Real Outrage Is the Left’s Uproar Over Comey (New York Times ) It's F'ing hilarious that the Atlantic clown is demanding that we stop calling his and his pals' behavior, what it so obviously is. This story is rapidly disintegrating, and, as Dilbert guy says here: The trick here is that members of Trump’s campaign might be the ones under investigation, not Trump himself. But that’s where the complexity of this topic is useful to the Master Persuader. The viewing public won’t make that distinction. All they will hear – over and over – is the “not under investigation” part. Similarly, the only thing people will remember 30 days from now about the Democrats? Their hypocrisy. That is the ultimate takeaway. Atlantic guy knows it, and he's scared. That's why he's reflexively written the above. The NY Times is taking a different approach: they have come to the same conclusion, but, 30 days from now, they aren't going to be blaming Ds for their hypocrisy. No. They are preparing to transfer the blame for the ultimate takeaway onto Trump supporters. But, we aren't responsible for the failure of this story or the actions of the media, and certainly not to blame for an investigation now in it's 6th month that has yet to even prove that a crime was committed, or what crime is being investigated, never mind turning up a single shred of evidence. And don't use the "it's classified so...they can't tell us" excuse. If they had found anything they would have leaked everything. Edited May 12, 2017 by OCinBuffalo
row_33 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 This isn't even bread and circuses material. Can't eat it and there is nothing useful or remotely amusing here.
IDBillzFan Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 And LA, let's not let the right off the hook so easily. The Reps are blindlessly following their own morons. McCain is a lot of things, but a Republican and a moron are not two of them. He'd actually make a great Democrat
HappyDays Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 (edited) Is anyone here concerned that the President asked the FBI director for loyalty at a private dinner, and then this morning threatened him with tapes of their conversations? Or are we hand waving this away with some reference to something a Democrat did in 2009? Edited May 12, 2017 by HappyDays

The fuzz determines that my client is guilty a millions times over before even building a case. Then they look at what happened and scream that every transaction is proof that fraud has occurred. Nothing remotely of the kind, you have rushed to "justice" and see all actions as part of a "conspiracy." Shooting fish in a barrel.
