Yeezus Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Interviewing only 3 people? And ending up going with the guy who the head coach pretty much told the Owner to hire. What kind of team structure is Pegula running here? is this a joke? What NFL team lets a rookie HC run the entire team? Pegula is either going to strike gold here or plummet harder than when he hired Rex. If this doesn't work out he will go from beloved savior owner to on par with Dan Snyder as a complete fraud. Once again the Bills prove they don't know how to conduct a proper search for a GM. Good luck the Brandon Beane b/c he sure as hell will need it.
Sweats Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 smoke and mirrors, my friend..............smoke and mirrors

Yeezus Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 4* people does it really matter when none of them even came back for a 2nd interview and were basically just interviewed for the hell of it
BuffaloBud420 Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Yep. McDermott is GM I don't care what the title says. Sabres GM took longer...cause that GM will actually be making the calls. Beane is a glorified scout
Royale with Cheese Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Someone wanted someone who he has already worked with....no way that never happens. does it really matter when none of them even came back for a 2nd interview and were basically just interviewed for the hell of it Since you're an expert on hiring processes for executive level NFL positions....what should they have done?
FreddieJizzle22 Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 This search is better than Ralph hiring Buddy Nix.

HansLanda Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 This is how they always work. Nepotism is not against the rules.
CommonCents Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 This was the only possible decision. If they did anything but hire Beane I would have been disappointed.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 ....OMG.....yet another OBD/Pegula operational complaint?....SHOCKING......medical marijuana for all...the pain is too great...WFT.............
Yeezus Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 Yep. McDermott is GM I don't care what the title says. Sabres GM took longer...cause that GM will actually be making the calls. Beane is a glorified scout in 4 years we will all be sitting here asking our selves what kind of team lets a rookie HC run the entire football operations and then we realize we are Bills fans
IDBillzFan Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Once again the Bills prove they don't know how to conduct a proper search for a GM. And once again we realize the Bills would a much better team if only the owner let message board fans run the front office. Dammit, Pegs! These people can complete full sentences! And even log in properly! Why aren't you putting them in charge of your GM search?!?!? Sweet fancy Moses, you people are nuts.
BuffaloBud420 Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 The press conference should be interesting. Q. Who has the final decision on player personnel? A. We work as a team Q. What if you disagree? A. Whoever is more passionate gets the call (aka McDermott makes the call).
BmarvB Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Are there any experts in here on hiring an NFL GM? IF so, who should they have hired and why?
Royale with Cheese Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 This is how they always work. Nepotism is not against the rules. I work for a large engineering company and it works like this 75% of the time. If a new Plant Manager or GM is hired at a plant...they bring people with them they know and trust. They are comfortable working with them....
Rico Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 This search is better than Ralph hiring Buddy Nix. Or Russ promoting Doug Whaley.
IDBillzFan Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 (edited) Are there any experts in here on hiring an NFL GM? IF so, who should they have hired and why? Better question: if so, why in the holy hell are you spending time on a freaking message board? Edited May 9, 2017 by LABillzFan
