MarlinTheMagician Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Always liked his athleticism. His Twitter says he is healthy. Never has been any kind of problem, shows up every day. Any chance we retain? I like him for TE depth better than a lot of the dumpster dives. He is still young. Supposedly has a workout for the Colts scheduled. I suspect he would catch a lot of passes from Andrew Luck.
boyst Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 i'd rather have barnadge, but anything is possible. wish him the best of luck
MarlinTheMagician Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 Barnage likely the better choice, but other poster's comment that Jacksonville will be "all-in" on him seems logical. Can't hurt to bring Gragg into camp on the cheap. Looked like he was doing quite well last year until the cheap shot against the Redskins.
bigK14094 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I can't get the picture out of my mind of that game in London when EJ completed his pass to Gragg....BUT Gragg was standing 5 yards out of bounds waiving for the ball. After he realized what had happened, Gragg laughed his butt off. (so did EJ) I did not find it as amusing..just more of the lame effort we saw from him. Glad to have him gone........
MarlinTheMagician Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 Hope we sign him back. Play in London was poor, but laugh can't be over-interrupted. Could have just been embarrassed. Run the highlights on his Twitter, in addition to that embarrassing play in London there are some deep seam catches that we could use.
bmur66 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 How long has he been on this team and what has he ever done?
MarlinTheMagician Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 I am not saying he is All-Pro potential, but has not been on the team long enough that he ever got a full shot. I think he would have had that last year but for the cheap shot vs. Skins.
fansince88 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 (edited) He had an excepional spring before the injury Edited May 7, 2017 by fansince88
Johnny Hammersticks Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 How long has he been on this team and what has he ever done? Yeah, because players like Gragg (7th round pick - 2013) never, ever develop their skills. Â I'd be okay with bringing back Gragg. He looked like he was really starting to put it all together before the injury.
MarlinTheMagician Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 He is all of 26 years old, and he was a developmental choice, so we knew it would take some time. Now is when he should be ready to start paying some dividends (a year delayed because of injury last year).
jr1 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Blake Annen is still o the Bills with the same speed as Gragg
bmur66 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I am not down on him. It was a serious question. Definetly need some TE depth
Malazan Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Hope we sign him back. Play in London was poor, but laugh can't be over-interrupted. Could have just been embarrassed. Â Sometimes you laugh to keep from crying...think what people would think if they started crying
MarlinTheMagician Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 Good point on Annen too. I have no idea if he or Gragg are the better prospect. I like O'Leary's competitiveness, but he seems too small and slow. Annan and Gragg LOOK the part to me. Remember Matthew Mulligan? Did that guy have pictures of Rex or something? What a zero - can't believe he got so much PT in Rex year 1.
K D Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Gragg should go to Oakland. He's only good when EJ is throwing to him. They will tear it up on scout team
John from Riverside Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I thought he was getting better with each year.....it is unfortunate tht he got hurt
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 How long has he been on this team and what has he ever done? ...I believe he was actually having a good camp/pre-season until ACL injury..........
Johnny Hammersticks Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 How long has he been on this team and what has he ever done? Sorry. Thought you were being snarky. He looked pretty darn good in the offseason. Made strides both as a receiver and a blocker, IIRC.
