C.Biscuit97 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Jay Cutler is only human being who makes Phil Simms seem exciting. Seriously, did anyone ever think this guy would be good at talking about anything?
26CornerBlitz Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 @JeffDarlington Cutler isn’t just flirting with TV possibilities — this is real deal. Expect to see him in three-man booth on Fox, much like Aikman in 2002.
oldmanfan Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 And when he decides to pout on air and not talk to his colleagues?
The Wiz Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 "Jay, what you do think of the play of Matt Ryan this season?" "Doooooooon't caaaaaare" "Well you have to admit he's..." "DON'T CAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEE"
26CornerBlitz Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 @AlbertBreer So Jay Cutler is FOX's de facto replacement for John Lynch. And he gets to learn next to @CFD22 -- one of the absolute best guys in the biz. @PSchrags NEWS. It's official. Jay Cutler has been hired by @nflonfox . Will join Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis in the booth this season.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 @JeffDarlington From Jay Cutler on his decision to head to the broadcast booth:
stony Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 @JeffDarlington From Jay Cutler on his decision to head to the broadcast booth: Something so right about Culter quoting Henry Rollins.
Big Turk Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Id cut Yates and sign him. Get him on the cheap. Yeah...if he didn't care for $20 million what makes you think he will care for $2 million?
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 He's a coach killer, and has the reputation of being a poor locker room guy. Why would you want to bring him in as a backup QB?
Blokestradamus Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Jay has been one of my favourite players to watch over the past decade. Perhaps I enjoy the reaction to him just as much. No idea if a TV career is going to work out for him but I really hope that it does. Good or bad, he's always been entertaining.
Mark Vader Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Jay has been one of my favourite players to watch over the past decade. Perhaps I enjoy the reaction to him just as much. No idea if a TV career is going to work out for him but I really hope that it does. Good or bad, he's always been entertaining. Sigh.....the dream of a Jay Cutler-Philip Rivers Super Bowl is gone.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Has anyone who hires these guys ever thought that not every ex NFL is a better analyst than a guy who didn't play football?
dpberr Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Goes to show that these networks also use the "I've heard of him..." approach to human resources. Of course this all means that Cutler will surprisingly wind up being a far more popular and entertaining broadcaster than Tony Romo.
The Wiz Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Has anyone who hires these guys ever thought that not every ex NFL is a better analyst than a guy who didn't play football? This may be true but former player are more likely to get viewing interest than a better analyst.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 This may be true but former player are more likely to get viewing interest than a better analyst. Yeah, it's just sad how pathetic the media is these days. They don't remotely base anything on talent. Who really cares about Jay Cutler though? I don't care what he has to say. I could see Tony Romo bringing in some viewers, but does anyone actually like Cutler?
What a Tuel Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 @JeffDarlington From Jay Cutler on his decision to head to the broadcast booth: "You are either forced to leave, or you lose the desire to do what's required to keep going" If that's not confirmation of apathy towards football and your team.......
ndirish1978 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 I don't get why you'd hire this guy, he is thoroughly unlikeable and has a history of bring awful to fans.
