Yeah !@#$ Leroi and the bus he rode in on. Not sure why everyone clamors for some yahoo to provide info.

How about we just wait for actual journalists to report it?

Yeah, that's a little weird. We want to wait for the guys to find someone like Leroi to tell them what's going on to tell us what is going on?

This just in... Logan Thomas is the new Brad Smith. Gary Barnidge is the new Joe Klopfenstein.

You're basing this off the last coaching staff though. The Kubiak/Dennison offenses have historically made good use of both their #1 and #2 TE. Joel Dreessen and Garrett Graham had decent production in Houston as the #2 guy. It didn't happen as much in Denver because Virgil Green is...well...not good. But they did use Green & Daniels on the field together frequently.

I'm not saying this would be the best opportunity, because I don't know who else is looking at him. But this would be a *good* opportunity for him based on the number of snaps available to the #2 TE on this offense and the lack of talent to push for said #2 spot.

Nobody is paying big money for a 31 or 32 year old TE with a season and a half of production.

I want to believe you but I have my doubts. Tyrod has struggled to throw over the middle since college. I really struggle to see the Bills getting Clay and the OC deciding not to throw across the middle. Vernon Davis had some really nice seasons under Roman.

But I hope you're right and we can sign him. I feel like the Bills are the last team to realize how important TE is.

I understand Tyrod's struggles down the middle of the field. But why does he have to throw down the middle to hit a TE? They can't run an out route or a flat route to the sidelines?

It's a new offense now. Dennison comes from the Kubiak tree, who comes from the Shanahan tree...who comes from the Bill Walsh tree. Each man runs it differently of course, but the skeleton of the scheme is going to be a zone run game and passing game with a lot of horizontal routes...which should benefit Tyrod's mobility. If you can move the pocket and stretch routes side to side, he should be able to see the field better

I would love this signing. He had a great 2015 with 1000 yards and 9 TD's. Even though he came back to Earth in 2016 he was still dam productive with 55 catches and around 600 yards if I am not mistaken. Grabbing him would allow the Bills to run more two TE sets and have a viable backup for Clay. Having a second capable TE would also allow the Bills to mask a weakness on their offense as it would allow the team to use less receivers a position the team is not very deep at.

Chandler was the first viable one in years. and look at all the Team records he set at that position!

Worried me why they pursued Clay so hard. Very good player indeed ! But could Bills make good use of him.

Methinks this year Tyrod WILL find his TEs and Will chuck it at them.

I would be pleased to to Barnside on the team

good post

Apparently he really liked our facilities and McDermott. He's close with Eric Wood and will be at the derby with him this weekend.

I like where this might be going.

C'mon Eric bring him home with you !

Not literally of course.

Unless that is what it takes to seal the deal.....
