4_kidd_4 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Good read. The part about good ol' Rusty B. at the end really illustrates how bulletproof this guy is.
Rico Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Thanks. A must-read for all the many Russ Brandon fans in here.
Imissbeastmode Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 (edited) Great article. It's too bad Russ is good at marketing the Bills or he would've been fired a long time ago. Edited May 1, 2017 by Imissbeastmode
4_kidd_4 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Great article. It's too bad Russ is good at marketing the Bills or he would've been fired a long time ago. Is he, though? We are a built-in audience. Does anyone buy tickets because of a slogan, or a giveaway or based on who's "leading the charge", or any such nonsense? No, we go because it's a cheap party, a day out with fam and friends. Oh, and there's a football game at 1:00.
oldmanfan Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Great article. It's too bad Russ is good at marketing the Bills or he would've been fired a long time ago. The Executive VP of Marketing for the Bills is Brent Rossi.
QCity Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Kryk's articles are usually pretty good. He's on point and is typically able to criticize the front office without triggering the fans.
stuvian Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 the only thing we're "attacking" is the world record for futility
Reed83HOF Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 (edited) Thanks. A must-read for all the many Russ Brandon fans in here. Only a few pieces of trash remain... Edited May 1, 2017 by Reed83HOF
oldmanfan Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 The Pegulas need to get the next hires right. That is for sure. The constant disconnects between GMs and HCs have killed chances for each team to succeed. Each team needs a unified front office and coach so proper decisions can be made on what style of play will be pursued and thus what players to get.
njbuff Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Now more than ever, the heat will be put on the Pegula's to ax Brandon's butt. Him surviving wave after wave after wave after wave of HC's and GM's hirings and firings is downright sickening. I think most folks have brushed it aside that Brandon is a huge part of this organization, but with ANOTHER GM gone, the pressure should be mounting on the man who has survived 17 years of failure here. For the love of God Pegula's............ please get rid of that clown Brandon.
Sweats Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 All you need to know is 46-66 as the Bills GM...........no one deserves a job with those stats.

Simple lack of an overall vision and strategy with a primary focus being on short-term gains at the expense of long-term team building...

Oh, and there's a football game at 1:00. This idea that the Bills fan attendance and excitement couldn't go down if it weren't marketed is silly. Half of it is Bills fan stubbornness to give up, and the other half is thanks to Russ Brandon and the marketing team to give thousands hope that this will be the year. Put the two together and you have Bills fans notorious for keeping attendance high through a 18 year drought. Edited May 1, 2017 by What a Tuel

For the love of God Pegula's............ please get rid of that clown Brandon. While I do think Brandon needs to go, despite being hired in 1997, he's only really had any input from 2006 on, if that... If they have him stepping off big time and not factoring into player decisions, which, if you ask me mcdermott is clearly calling the shots, than it is what it is. If McDermott ran our draft and has been having full say over the roster thus far, what difference does it make about Brandon?
george c Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Well, until Brandon is fired, and his offices sprayed down with Lysol, expect more issues that will eventually kill the coach and the team..
