Klaista2k Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Shouldn't we have hired the GM first and then had him hire the coach? Seems completely backwards to hire the coach then have him pick the GM. Thoughts?
Klaista2k Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 So glad nobody can chime in just because I don't have all day to see if this was already posted.
JimKellyTryouts Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 I mean, that's basically what all of us here are thinking - and have been thinking for months during all of the rumors of Doug leaving.

JimKellyTryouts Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 (edited) Okay... and there's no point in discussing it? What's the point of a message board then? Contradictory questions since I replied back to your message to begin with Edited May 1, 2017 by JimKellyTryouts
Billzgobowlin Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 I think they had every intention of keeping Whaley but they probably saw the discord between Whaley and the newest coach as with Whaley in the past and decided it was too toxic to keep Whaley. Also Pegula probably realized that from McDermott that roster construction was majorly flawed. Ryan lost out temporarily but when Whaley had the same issues with McDerm Whaley had to go.
