Carolina Panthers assistant general manager Brandon Beane: Beane's name has been mentioned by CBS Sports as a potential replacement for fired GM Doug Whaley. Beane has ties to Bills coach Sean McDermott, who served as Carolina's defensive coordinator from 2011-16. Beane was named assistant general manager of the Panthers in 2015 after rising through the team's scouting ranks. He originally joined Carolina in 1998 as part of their communications department.

Regardless of who the "real" GM is, you don't think that some very good scouts just got tossed out the door with some bad scouts?

How many draft picks are still on this roster over the past seven to ten years?

I trust Terry and Kim

They went through an adjustment process but they will get it right. They have made strides already in making over the teams.

No, they haven't. They've done nothing to build trust or convince me they know what they're doing

the process has played out already imo .... now it's just the final touches

Yep. And it was thorough. McD called Beane on his cell, Beane answered, "Hey, Sean, what up, dawg?" and Sean said, "Welcome to the Buffalo Bills, bud."

Ian Rappaport on NFLN just said don't be surprised if teams look to the Bills example of firing Whaley after the draft instead of scrambling to hire a new GM after the season. Hmmmm

Now that global warming is no longer a concern at the federal level.......EVERYONE wants a dumpster fire...........complete with prospective GM candidates passing their current teams draft info off to prospective new employers. :flirt:

So the guy who was fired by the 49ers for his drinking problem? Then fired by the Seahawks for his drinking problem? Then fired by the Skins for his drinking problem?

The same guy who says he's not an alcoholic?

He's been helped before, but to no avail.

He's runs a consultant service now and that seems to be a better fit for his personality.

....BUFFALO would be the WRONG place if you have a drinking problem....on the other hand, you'd be in good company.............
