thebug Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 First of all, thanks to all those who gave me advice on a trip to San Diego. Was a great trip and got some good tips from you folks! My brother in law is a huge Cowboys fan, so we are going to the Oct 1st game against the Rams. Never been to Dallas, so any advice would be appreciated! Hotels, food, tailgating? any tips you have. Probably going to buy some decent seats on Stubhub, but open to other suggestions for sure! Cheers!
plenzmd1 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 (edited) Bring lots of money! BTW, tailgating is weird, at least in the Cowboy lots. If you want to grill, have to be there early to claim on of the spots on the outside ring of the lot so grill can go on grass...can not grill in any of the interior spaces. When we went to the Bills game there a few years back was not to big a worry as a noon start, and not as big of a tailgate crowd. But our host said 3 PM games tailgating is much bigger deal. Yeah it's a noon kick-off so we will likely just get into the stadium early and tour around in there......

They do a great job pregame once in the stadium. Cheerleaders doing dance numbers and bands playing on stages around the interior of the gates, store is cool, just walking around is cool. Can see getting in at 10:30 and not being bored for one second

Best Player Available Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Go to Austin for the F1 race instead. Humans live there.

Gugny Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Wear lots of rainbow colored clothes and an "I'm With Her," t-shirt.
thebug Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Wear lots of rainbow colored clothes and an "I'm With Her," t-shirt. Will I be allowed in the stadium with rainbow short shorts?
Gugny Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Will I be allowed in the stadium with rainbow short shorts? As long as you go to church first.
thebug Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 As long as you go to church first. We will probably start on the beers pretty early. Are beers allowed in church in Dallas? Sorry for the questions, but I've never been to Dallas (or church for that matter.)

ocemur Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Rick's Chophouse in Mckinney has some great steaks. You're in Texas, get a good steak and some good Mexican food. Just remember if you or your friends like to get rowdy, roughly every third person you see is concealed carrying a gun, so be polite.
