Wayne Cubed Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Buffalo Bills @buffalobills General Manager Doug Whaley has been relieved of his duties.
HamSandwhich Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I'm surprised they would wait until after the draft. Maybe kept him around as a glorified acout?
eball Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Right after the draft, just as many of us predicted. No surprises here, fresh start.
BuffAlone Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 (edited) Im surprised he wasnt retained on some scouting level. I was a supporter of his, but more so the team. Hope for something new and improved Edited April 30, 2017 by BuffAlone
voodoo poonani Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Shocked! Absolutely shocked! Not really, it was the worst kept secret in football.
KRT88 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 (edited) Ryan, Whaley, murray, Blysma plus how many other assistant coaches/front office guys are the Pegula paying to not work? Edited April 30, 2017 by KRT88
r00tabaga Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Yup. All over TWITTER. I'm surprised they would wait until after the draft. Maybe kept him around as a glorified acout? Fire him before and your whole draft strategy and board are revealed.
voodoo poonani Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Ryan, Whaley, murray, Blysma plus how many other assistant coaches/front office guys is Pegula paying to not work? Damn, I need to get one or those jobs.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Busy few months for the Pegulas. I'm hoping it's a sign they learned from other owners how real organizations should be run.
Beast Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I applaud Whaley for remaining professional right to the end.'He knew what was coming yet he was there to help the organization through draft weekend. With saying that, this is a move that was needed.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Doubt Russ needs to worry, Jim O, yeah I'd be nervous if I were him. Do wonder if this happened quicker than planned due to all the leaks. TP just figured, lets get this done now and be done with it as opposed to constantly being questioned about it. If true that he knew he was being fired after the draft, is that really then being fired, or just more an agreement to part ways.
Bronc24 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 It's a new day. I have no idea if McDermott will get us to the playoffs, but he's doing things differently and I am a HUGE fan of that. No more same old Buffalo Bills, IMO.
