Hapless Bills Fan Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 OK, but still gilmore wanted out last season- you could see it in his play. he did not want to be a part of the bills organization any longer. that's on the gm. How do you figure that? The scheme and the D play are all on the coaching staff, not? But the attitude you express is exactly why I think it was a good thing to get rid of Whaley and let McWrestler bring in his guy. For too long it's been "it's the coach, the on-field product sucks" "no, coach hasn't had the players he needs, it's the GM" "No, the GM has done his best, Coach hasn't used what he's got" Either give the GM the coach he wants or give the coach the GM he wants (and since we chose to hire coach first, it's the latter), and let them succeed or fail together.
LabattBlue Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I still give that to Dan Snyder and his racist team name, handling of McCloughon, and potentially ostracizing his budding franchise QB. But the Pegulas are def in the lower rankings right now. ...yeah but Snyder is only wrecking one franchise. The Pegula's somehow have both their teams spiraling downward.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Now complete the purge by canning Russ

Bad contracts... sloppy trades up... lack of vision ... EJ all finally caught up to Whaley. Now complete the purge by canning Russ Overdorf says hello
JoeF Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 (edited) Simon and SDS -- good job moderating this AM. A separate thread from this for "Whaley fired for wiping boogers on a girl with disabilities" or something probably not warranted.... Edited April 30, 2017 by JoeF
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Sully's take will be most epic! Rejoice! Now he needs to go after pegs. Everyone else has been fired.
jethro_tull Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Nope! Gilmore had a very good season for the Bills in '16. He wanted to be paid market value. Simple as that. i totally did not see that and watched every game.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 @WGR550 Just a programming reminder: We will carry Terry Pegula’s press conference live on WGR beginning at 11am this morning.

I was hoping we had given the GM the coach he wanted. Great draft, so fire everyone. I just don't know, but if they start winning the division, or at least a wild card, I'm fine.
MAJBobby Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Now he needs to go after pegs. Everyone else has been fired. No they havent. Overdorf and Brandon remain
26CornerBlitz Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 i totally did not see that and watched every game. The Patriots did.
Big Gun Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 i totally did not see that and watched every game. i'm not a gilmore fan but he didn't have bad season

The Patriots did. yes, they saw that he has talent and wanted out. he will be a superstar on the patriots.
Crusher Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Done in -why-because he was infatuated with EJ? Anyone that knows you knows that you are the one with the real infatuation.
Magox Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 He's a one route wonder who had 36 catches his last year in Bufalo and 38 catches his first year in NE Too bad Gilmore wasn't able to figure out that one route.
Rico Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Neil Stratton (@InsideTheLeague) 4/30/17, 6:55 AM In addition to firing GM Doug Whaley, ITL has learned #Bills have dumped their entire scouting department. New GM will hire all new scouts. That would incluse Manos i would think. Sure hope so.
Simon Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I was hoping we had given the GM the coach he wanted. That's the crazy thing; for the first time since Pegula took over we had actually done just that.
PrimeTime101 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 sooooo anyone think McDermott is taking over full powers? is this possible? and if so he better know what he is doing..
