Webster Guy Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Not much ammo left. 2018 picks can be dealt still. You know mcD has his eye on a safety
starrymessenger Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 who says he will apparently struggle in pass pro? Just about every source reviewing him says this is a weakness. One reason he got his reps inside at the senior bowl, where he did very well btw.
WideRightRevenge Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Your OL Day 1 LT - Glenn LG - InCognito C - Wood RG - Miller RT - Dawkins Honestly, I love Woody and what he's done for Buffalo .. but I'd of preferred to see us take a Center in the 3rd. We led the league in rushing and interchanged all over the line .. Woody got the most miles (as Ritchie had a little time off from Miami).
John from Riverside Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Just about every source reviewing him says this is a weakness. One reason he got his reps inside at the senior bowl, where he did very well btw. Could you provide some of those sources
MAJBobby Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Just about every source reviewing him says this is a weakness. One reason he got his reps inside at the senior bowl, where he did very well btw. Yet a scout says otherwise Sources Tell Us "I don't know if I see him as a guard or a tackle yet, but I think he can play both. I like him because I think he could upgrade our pass protection inside if we did bump him to guard, but he's athletic enough to play right tackle, too." -- AFC West scout http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/dion-dawkins?id=2557875
Webster Guy Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I like that he's not Kujo height. My man Tyrod can't see over the super tall OLinemen.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I like that he's not Kujo height. My man Tyrod can't see over the super tall OLinemen. Passing lanes man.....Passing lanes.
Turk71 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 (edited) You get 2 long term starters. Doesnt matter does it. Then still have a 2018 1st in your pocket. That would be great, how do you know that? How do you know who the three picks given away would have been? Just surprised they spent 5 picks for 2 guys that are unproven and they may have gotten anyway. Edited April 29, 2017 by Turk71
Buffalo Bills Fan Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 (edited) I like that he's not Kujo height. My man Tyrod can't see over the super tall OLinemen. Millis lets up too many sacks for my liking.. Edited April 29, 2017 by Buffalo Bills Fan
Benjamin Franklin Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 My friend taught him at Temple. Said he's a great kid and good student.
Turk71 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 The 2008 pick had nothing to do with these last 2 moves.
MAJBobby Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Ooo CBS too. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/2060523 Pass Pro a Plus
Benjamin Franklin Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 3 starters. That's good enough for this draft. Now play a few lottery tickets tomorrow and be done. Still desperately need LBs but can't plug all the holes in a single draft.
MAJBobby Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 That would be great, how do you know that? How do you who the three picks given away would have been. Just surprised they spent 5 picks for 2 guys that are unproven and they may have gotten anyway. Still got two picks. Never has a 4th. So used a 3rd and 5th to come get thier RT (wouldnt have made it to Thier pick. Was going next to Car) Used 3rd to get their No 2 WR. A top producing WR. That is good use of 5th rounds when you have 4 of them
WideRightRevenge Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 The most interesting thing about this pick to me is that McD apparently thinks more of our LBs than we all do. Honestly Mills was probably our worst starter last year. An upgrade was needed. I'm intrigued to see Ragland (slowness comments aside) and a full year of Shaq Lawson ... those guys did nothing last year .. they are like to additional #1 and #2's this year ... knock on wood. Stay healthy ... Love everything about this draft so far.
MAJBobby Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 #Bills had FOUR 5th round picks. Unloading 2 is nothing. Now the question is can Dawkins play T at NFL-level? If not, bad pick
WideRightRevenge Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Do I understand we gave up three picks for this guy and two picks for the last guy. So 5 picks for two guys. A 2nd rnd, 2 3rd rnds and 2 5ths to get 2 guys. One near mid and the other at the end of the 2nd round. So much for the trade back, just couldn't wait to spend/waste that draft capital. Not being negative, just extremely unimpressed. I can't spout the percentages off the top of my head .. but I think the staying power of 2nd round picks have more longevity than 5th round picks ... and one of the 3rds we flipped was from KC last night and I'm A-OK with their 2018 1st rounder ... still in our pocket from KC.
Turk71 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 2018 picks can be dealt still. You know mcD has his eye on a safety[/quote) Really? There were a couple really good ones available. about 4 or 5 safeties and 3 or 4 tackles rated higher than Dawkins on a few draft boards I respect.
MAJBobby Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Which is okay, but giving up 3 picks for that? They are down 1 total pick than what they started with. And have One 1st round talent Two 2nd round talents And still a 2018 1st in pocket.
