26CornerBlitz Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 From Mayock: 63. Dion Dawkins, G, Buffalo Bills (from Atlanta Falcons)Analysis: "There's a right tackle position open in Buffalo. He was a converted defensive tackle, so his best football is ahead of him on the offensive side of the ball. Powerful point-of-attack player. He can kick inside or play right tackle."
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 The most interesting thing about this pick to me is that McD apparently thinks more of our LBs than we all do. Honestly Mills was probably our worst starter last year. An upgrade was needed. He will only be playing 2 at a time 75% of the time.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Needed an upgrade from Jordan Mills who I do not like at all.
Domdab99 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Fantastic pick. Dion was He was the best OG prospect in this draft. Top 30 prospect overall. He could have gone in the 1st round and I wouldn't have thought it was terrible.
MAJBobby Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Seems like a good player. Again, we gave up a lot to get at him, so they must love the guy. A couple 5ths that are not likely starters. He is.
Domdab99 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 From PFF: Bottom line: Dawkins has strength and pop you can’t teach or find. A bit heavy, but athletic and not slow, Dawkins can be a dominant guard in a power-blocking scheme. He needs development and strengthening of his fundamentals (especially at the guard position.) Dawkins demonstrates physical tools necessary to be a Pro Bowl player in the right system.
Max Fischer Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Your OL Day 1 LT - Glenn LG - InCognito C - Wood RG - Miller RT - Dawkins Solid
Buffalo Bills Fan Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 They needed upgrade from Millis.. Time and after time from that spot Tyrod running for his life.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 The most interesting thing about this pick to me is that McD apparently thinks more of our LBs than we all do. Honestly Mills was probably our worst starter last year. An upgrade was needed. It is an interesting development. They could add depth later, but no starters.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 @JonScottTV Sean McDermott says Dion Dawkins will compete for starting right tackle job. #Bills #NFLDraft
Buffalo Bills Fan Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 A couple 5ths that are not likely starters. He is. They did give up quite a bit but I think I like the player.
H2o Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 @JonScottTV Sean McDermott says Dion Dawkins will compete for starting right tackle job. #Bills #NFLDraft But, but, but, Kiper says he's a Guard.

26CornerBlitz Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 But, but, but, Kiper says he's a Guard. Kiper likely thinks he projects best at G.
