PromoTheRobot Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 We gave up our 3rd round pick, which could land us a good player, for a 5th round pick which is less likely to land us a good player. This was a stupid trade. Read the scouting report on this guy and I don't get it. We drafted a guy who can't separate or stretch the field. Sal said it was two picks for two picks. I forgot the numbers.
LEBills Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 So yesterday McDermott was in charge, today it's Whaley. Depends who you are talking to. I haven't made those statements. I tend to go off of history... like the last 4 years.
Augie Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Sorry, anyone sure what the trade is. Just want picks, not "HOW STUPID", then I'll decide.
likei've Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 We needed a wr. The Bills obviously got the one they wanted and it cost us a pick we didn't even have yesterday. People are unreal, we got a good CB, a good wr, and an extra 1st rounder!
Bangarang Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 So now we only have 1 more pick tonight and we gain a 4th rounder for tomorrow.
jrober38 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 (edited) The Bills draft, and offseason, don't appear to make much sense. Lose Gilmore - draft White in the 1st round Lose Woods - draft Jones in the 2nd round We're just spinning our tires in the mud. Edited April 28, 2017 by jrober38
teef Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Cause that's what the Bills do. They are the same type of player ok, so you don't know. i'm not saying i'm an expert at all, but i think it's pretty obvious that you're just reading snippets of draft reports, and are attempting to act like you know something. explain...why is he a woods clone like you stated?
3rdand12 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Ehh Jerry Rice was 6'2 max /200 lbs and 4.7 40 time I know... Zay isn't Rice, but I'd sure like a stud WR in this draft. Would be happy if we drafted him. Don't think he'll be there when we pick though, unfortunately. : )

Similar size and speed. More of a possession WR.

Nitro Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Good #2 WR. Two needs addressed so far in the draft.
jrober38 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Never ignore the cap. Our cap is a disaster because the contracts Whaley's handed out over the past couple years.
PromoTheRobot Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 The Bills draft, and offseason, don't appear to make much sense. Lose Gilmore - draft White in the 1st round Lose Woods - draft Jones in the 2nd round We're just spinning our tires in the mud. It makes plenty of sense. You can't keep every player. You have to find replacements that cost less.
LEBills Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 The Bills draft, and offseason, don't appear to make much sense. Lose Gilmore - draft White in the 1st round Lose Woods - draft Jones in the 2nd round We're just spinning our tires. I like White and it saves us money while we start our rebuild. Jones is not a second round talent player, so disappointed about that. They're definitely interested in immediate contributors with two experienced and refined seniors. Problem with Jones is he is just a possession receiver.
teef Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Similar size and speed. More of a possession WR. sigh...
jrober38 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 We lost EJ so we should expect another trash QB to be taken at some point The Bills are blatantly drafting for need which is never a good idea.
BuffaloBillsGospel Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 I hate the fact that we gave up a pick but I really like the player selected, I think Zay Jones can be an excellent compliment to Watkins if we can get a QB who can hit all these targets we'll be golden .
