PromoTheRobot Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Did we really only get next year's first (which will be in the 20s) and this years 3rd? Whaley needs to go, and he needs to go now if that's the case. We should have gotten at least 3, if not 4 picks back to drop 17 spots int he 1st round. Good trade = McDermott Bad trade = Whaley
3rdand12 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 You will learn most people are stupid in the heat of the moment. when might you think it will sink into my thick and stupid head? I mean , obviously I would have no idea.
Hurricane Marv Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Like 80% of the people who don't like this trade seem to have "420" in their name.
dave mcbride Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 (edited) Had a chance for Allen, Forster or OJ...don't like this trade, should have gotten more back Yep. Shocking that they only got a very late 3rd plus a discounted first (from a good team too) for 17 spots. Sf got more Chi than we got factoring in draft slots, discounts, and expected records next season. Oh well. Edited April 28, 2017 by dave mcbride
SDS Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 can we save this thread for the enroll draft discussion and talk about the Bills trade in the pinned thread please? http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/193567-bills-trade-10-for-27-a-3rd-and-2018-1st/
NoSaint Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Can we stop pretending like we know how next years QB class will look? Things could change drastically and it could end up being a weak QB class. And it's still a good resource regardless
starrymessenger Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Maybe going after Darnold? Getting him still has to be considered a longshot, assuming you are still interested 1 year from now.
Augie Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 I am shocked at the reaction. I would have done this trade for even a 2nd next year. They get two 1sts and a 3rd. This is terrific. For 17 spots, with a deep draft. Thank you!
r00tabaga Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 It's a bad trade. Just compare it to what sf got. We won the trade points wise. Why the bicthing? Great move. Whaley's best to date.
BillsCuse Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Should have gotten at least a 2nd this year with another mid round pick. We are getting a late 3rd, garbage
Prop Joe Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Had a chance for Allen, Forster or OJ...don't like this trade, should have gotten more back Agree, set up the Mahomes HOF watch as well. Da Bills!!
NoSaint Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 (edited) bills advantage in the draft value chart #10 - 1300 #27 - 680 (2017) #91 - 136 (2017) #27 - 680 (2018) TOTAL - 1500 Gotta drop next year's a round So 310 so we were a little behind but not ugly Edited April 28, 2017 by NoSaint
GETTOTHE50 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Yes, but Darnold is going to be big time. I don't know if two first round picks will be enough to move into the number one overall pick. No one is going to give up that number one pick next year imo. oh no doubt. but im cool with giving up 5 first rounders for the guy. gotta need to have as many of them as possible for the trade.
CDogg20 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Like 80% of the people who don't like this trade seem to have "420" in their name. Lmao I noticed that too
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 The NFL trade value chart: http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php 10th pick value is 1,300. KC 27th 680, 91st 136. 2018 1st 590 (minimum) value is 1,406. Good trade that favors the Bills. If the bills had made this deal to move up, the same people on here complaining about the current deal would be up in arms about giving up too much.
3rdand12 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Ya'll are gonna be psyched when we have 2 first rounders next year... an trade 2019 1st to get into the top five for the QB that may or may not be
