Pine Barrens Mafia Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 How so? Chance at real offensive talent, draft a tier two-three CB. Billsy
klos63 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 This is why the Bills will always suck. Recycle players; they let players go and draft replacements. So sad. right, we should keep all our players so we never have to worry about replacing anyone. You make no sense.
Reed83HOF Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 but these are the types of moves that are going to finally help us turn the corner. Letting a CB go over $2 million and wasting a draft spot on his replacement? This is not a position or a player that will help us win one more game
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 There is clearly something seriously amiss with Foster Definitely true. Which is why an obvious talent has slid this far. If it's a second, I am taking that risk though.
Hurricane Marv Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Initially I just stared blankly at my screen, but the reaction from people much smarter than I am is overwhelmingly positive.
Strethor Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Yep I called it too. Valevictorian with GPA of 4.6. tpugs wasn't kidding about character. Now, is lattimore going to be better than white, the 3rd Rd pick and the 1st next year? Doubtful. I don't like the White pick but this is sound logic
Jamie Muellers Ghost Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 February 2020, the New England Patriots sign Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'davious White in free agency to a 5 year 20M a year contract.
CanadianFan Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 ESPN seems to be drooling over this kid. One of them even said he is the best CB in the draft. I think we got a solid player CBF which analyst? I don't have espn
Just Joshin' Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 (edited) Such a reach. Could of got a better corner in 2nd or 3rd even Please tell - which CB will be better at pick 44? Edited April 28, 2017 by Dalton
CommonCents Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 White is a good football player, I mentioned wanting him awhile back. I'm an LSU guy, he is a leader, wore 18. Yada yada. Bottom line - he may not be as fast as Gilmore but his compete level is consistent and you won't ever see him quit on a play to yell at a teammate. I was concerned with the trade back, White may have lasted until the 2nd round but a bunch of corners have already gone. For my money he is way better than guys like Adoree and Conley. Find out soon enough, catch yahs tomorrow.
Augie Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Another first round rent-a-CB. Same old Bills. Oh well, at least they traded down. Enjoy the next half decade. It's not a QB you want for 15 years.
Reed83HOF Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Isn't that exactly what the Patriots do? Umm really big difference don't you think?
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 "He's kind of soft, but he can cover. He's not really what our team looks for because we play so much sub packages and he would have to be a better tackler to be on the field that much. He's a fit for what some teams do though. Like I said, he can cover." -- Regional scout with NFC team Soft? I guess we needed to replace Gilmore. Might as well get someone similar to him.
HappyDays Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 I have no opinion at all. And ever since everyone freaked out about the Darby pick you'd think Bills fans would have learned by now
klos63 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 It's a good pick but I thought in McD's scheme corners aren't important. I thought he was a zone guy Corners are important in every defense.
MDH Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Treading water. Bills 2017. Not sure how you specify 2017. They've been treading water forever. There's a high school CB out there right now who the Bills will draft in the first round in 5 years after White bolts via FA. Don't dislike the player, it's just the same thing the Bills have done since....forever. Even if he pans out like Gilmore, or Clements, or Winfield it might not end up helping them long term. The only first round CB they kept after his rookie contract was the worst of the bunch, Leodis.
Uncle Joe Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 The cycle continues. Keep drafting CB's. It clearly works. Can he tackle? I know S Gilmore broke his forearm but teams would run at his side all day, So this could potentially be an upgrade. Or rinse and repeat.
Saxum Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 BBMBers shining tonight. Tantrums everywhere Well MODs said they will not insert pacifiers like bad parents on a flight. I like the fact that he had four years in college.
YoloinOhio Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 ESPN seems to be drooling over this kid. One of them even said he is the best CB in the draft. I think we got a solid player CBF LSU DBs are typically very NFL-ready.
