C.Biscuit97 Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I don't have the attention span to do a mock draft. So I figured I just would put together a list of players I want the Bills to end up with or avoid that they can realistically draft. I also do not pay attention to o line so I have no prospects there (it also seems like a bad draft for them anyways). Feel free to attend or criticize. Ballers Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson: I was late to the Watson bandwagon. But the guy simply make plays in the biggest games. I fully understand the knocks on him adjusting to the NFL. But if the Bills pass on a QB who we have a lot of evidence being good, it will be tough to live down. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/deshaun-watson?id=2558063 Patrick Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech: A ton has been said about him but this guy has a ton of tools. With proper development, not hiring a 1st time Big East OC as his NFL OC and QB coach, he could develop into something special. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/patrick-mahomes?id=2558125 OJ Howard, TE, Alabama: Maybe my favorite player in the draft. Next to QB, it is the position the Bills have neglected the most in their history. NE loves TEs. He played with crappy QBs in a run first offense and just do whatever he was asked to do. Maybe we should start doing things good teams do. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/o.j.-howard?id=2557856 Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland: He is my runner up prize if we don't get Howard. Lack of Competition is a big concern but he has some nice tools to develop into something and he is very raw. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/adam-shaheen?id=2558144 James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh: Love this guy. Lacks explosive speed and I worry about him being like Andre Williams. But the guy has produced big times despite some ridiculous adversity. I think he is a guy who makes your team better. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/james-conner?id=2557978 JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC: Any guy that gets compared to Anquan Boldin is welcome on my team. He is like a bigger Robert Woods. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/juju-smith-schuster?id=2558149 Josh Reynolds, WR, Texas A & M: Good size, very good in the red zone, and fights for the ball. One of these lower round wrs will have a better career than one of the 1st rounders. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/josh-reynolds?id=2558194 Ryan Switzer, WR, UNC: Tough, undersized, very productive player who is a great kick returner. Sadly, NE has already drafted him. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/ryan-switzer?id=2557960 Austin Carr, WR, Northwestern: There is nothing great about him at all but he is tough and makes plays. I can see him making a NFL roster. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/austin-carr?id=2558093 Demarcus Walker, DE, FSU: May have to move inside and didn't wow at the combine. Whatever. He plays with a "high motor" and is one of the most productive defensive players in FSU history. He just made plays. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/demarcus-walker?id=2557894 Ryan Anderson, LB, Alabama: The quiet, unspectacular defensive player who doesn't get talked about. Guy will be a solid starter in the league for years. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/ryan-anderson?id=2557853 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbOGnUSMe1c Duke Riley, LB, LSU: Undersized but never a bad idea to take a LSU defensive player. He also looks like the Honey Badger. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/duke-riley?id=2557967 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUFbfJnjqrw Ben Boulware, LB, Clemson: Undersized, slow, loves to grab balls, but he makes plays. Could see him as a demon on STs with a chance to break into the lineup. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/ben-boulware?id=2557992 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W0dntesxQM Adoree Jackson. CB, USC: If this guy last past the first round, he could be the steal of the draft. He makes plays on defense and the return game. He is one of my favorite players in the draft and is another reason to wait on a cb. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/adoree-jackson?id=2558065 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPRfIM3Z0Ss Desmond King, S/ CB, Iowa: Another one of my favorite guys in the draft. He made plays in every Iowa game I saw. Elite ball skills (sounds dirty) and while he isn't fast, could be a good zone corner or a FS in the Jairus Byrd mold. This guy will make a name for himself. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/desmond-king?id=2557927 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNEZ0k_CcRE Budda Baker, S, Washington: Pound for Pound, the toughest guy in the draft. The only worry is if his body can hold up with the way he plays. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/budda-baker?id=2558009 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoXL6gsuFNs Conrad Ukropina, K, Stanford: Trying to be PC and he has a cool name. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/conrad-ukropina?id=2558288 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g34wssQkFw Busters I hate crapping on any kid pursuing a dream so this list is much shorter. CJ Beathard, QB, Iowa: Some have mentioned him as a sleeper QB but I would just keep napping. He won't even want him in the Big 10. Joe Mixon, RB, Oklahoma and Ishmael Zamora, WR, Baylor: Scumbags who I don't want anywhere near the Bills.
Dragonborn10 Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Busters: Fournette and McCaffrey I think Fournette is going to be as big a bust as Trent Richardson. He looks like a guy that is going to have a hard time keeping his weight down. He has been injury prone in college. McCaffrey is a fraud and he knows it. That is why he didn't play in the Bowl Game, senior Bowl, or is doing individual workouts. He will not be able to take the hits in the NFL. Pac-12 defenses are almost as bad as the Big 12. He will never be a full time RB. Could he be the next Wes Welker? Possibly. His best shot is at slot WR. That said, I thought Joey Bosa was going to be a bust and he looked every bit the first round pick he was last year.
papazoid Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 QB of future in 1st WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC in 2nd
mannc Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Thanks, C.Biscuit. To me, this kind of write up is more interesting than another mock draft. Agree with you regarding Adoree Jackson. Love his return game, and with Goodwin's departure, the Bills have a need for another world class long jumper!
Mike in Syracuse Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I think it says a lot about Watson when most of his highlights are him running the ball.
Buffaloed in Pa Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Conner could be another Fred Jackson type . The younger Fred. Alot of heart. Now watch someone read this and become a topic.

TPS Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Much more informative than a R1 mock which will have the usual suspects. Thanks!
