it really feels like that to me. People are just so angry and bracing themselves for being inevitably disappointed. It's like that every year to some degree but this year just seems more bitter.

we have a ton of holes, new coach, same gm, aging vets, yadda yadda yadda. It's hard to feel optimistic that we are on an upswing, feels more like a last shot for a year or 2 before a larger rebuild..again

Be prepared because Davis is the likely pick

DB is deep enough that I'll be happy with a top pass catcher. Howard or Davis are fine. And M. Williams can fight for loose balls like he did at Clemson. Adams, Lattimore and Hooker I expect to be gone, so.....

Their board (according to Leroi and confirmed elsewhere) is:

- Thomas

- Davis

- Lattimore

- Howard

- Ross

I suspect that they will try to slide down a little but I don't expect anyone else. Davis is the likely pick.

Well...I do like Davis most of the WR's...

I don't think there is any chance Thomas or Lattimore get to #10...I kinda doubt Howard will either...

I'm not a fan of WR or TE in the 1st...For the Bills that is...

And if they have Howard and Ross ahead of Reuben Foster...Well...I can see Howard...He is a freak...But Foster is a better football player...A TE in the 1st when they already have Clay and a QB that struggles getting the ball to the TE is a really tough sell to me...But having Ross ahead of Foster is a complete joke IMHO... B-)

No matter who is picked in the 1st, there is going to be fan outrage. I know this because there isn't a single player (or even position) I've seen mentioned as a possibility where there is close to a consensus here. Probably the closest thing to a consensus that people agree on is a trade down for more picks. But after that it's been a free for all.

QB? What none of these guys are worth a 1st, we have bigger needs, next year's class is better. WR? We don't pass the ball to the one we have, can't use another high pick on a WR, our defense is the side that needs help. CB? Oh yeah just the endless Billsy cycle of letting a CB leave in FA and replace in draft! DL? Oh sure ignore the real areas of need! Safety? Unless it's hooker or Adams this is a reach! TE? We have Clay, TE in the 1st never live up to the hype, TT can't throw over the middle. LB? Shouldn't have let Zach Brown leave, they just keep filling holes they create themselves and ignore BPA! RB? Let's not even go there OL? Seriously how boring can they get I'm so done with this team!

Very true...I think that kinda speaks to the job Whaley has done though does it not? I mean...There is no consensus because there are more questions than answers all over the roster...And I'm not a Whaley basher...It just is what it is... B-)

I don't hate the pick, my concern is; how much difference is there between a Mike Williams and a 2nd rounder like Zay Jones?

I don't think there's a huge difference.

The same can be said about the cornerbacks. So I don't have an answer to what I'd rather buffalo do. But, I think it would be to trade back for more picks.

Height is the answer. 6-6 as oppose to 6-0

Rob Rang is one of the more accurate mock draft guys and he has us taking OJ Howard.

What a colossal mistake that would be.

If we can't find a trade partner, then any pick we make at 10 can potentially be colossal. I'd say, go with Mike Williams or a QB.

It wouldn't surprise me if we go CB/S the first two rounds as we are so thin at the position. Look at the QB's we face this year. Half our games are arguably against top 10 QB's (Brees, Brady (2x)), Newton, Ryan, Carr, Rivers, Luck), three against efficient QB's (Dalton, Smith, Tannehill (2x), and one against a rising star (Winston). Only three games will pry be against below average QB's (Broncos, Jets (2x)).

Whaley's specialty is defensive prospects and McDermott is a defensive coach so CB/S is my best hunch given the quality of secondary prospects in this draft. Of course none of us can get inside OBD's head so maybe they'll take a WR and QB in the first.

One team has 35 CBs on their board; also that they expect 4th and 5th rounders to start. It was on a Breer article on MMQB. With McD looking for zone coverage corners; I would expect we will be one of those teams with mid round CBs starting for us. I would be very surprised to see a rd 1 CB

I have to respectfully disagree man...in the first round of the draft, you need to get a guy who is guaranteed to make plays. Guys like OJ are those type of "mismatch" players that have value. I do think that they still might be better off trading down here as i have stated in other posts, but OJ is worthy of the tenth pick IMO if they want an offensive weapon for Tyrod.

Just my opinion though:)

Same here, also happy with Zay in second.

Only thing on Davis is Whaley generally is not a small school guy and have seen Davis slipping in allot final mocks to mid to later 1st.

I'd be fine with a 6'3'' 210 pound WR with 4.48 speed.

I dnt know much about the person you are quoting in terms of our board. However, is the based on who he feels will be left when they pick? Or do they envision those being the best players in the draft?

I think you are pretty much spot on.

Sums it up, bud.

For me, BPA on their board, regardless of position.
