KellyToughII Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 They better re-sign him. If we lose him, we would need a running back in the draft, and I don't see us getting a RB of his caliber in the fifth. jmo I am sure when he came out in the 5th, no one thought he would be that good either so....

MooseTooth Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Almost 2,000 replies for Gillislee! Gotta love Bills fans

DasNootz Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 McCoy - $8,875,000DiMarco - $1,850,000 Tolbert - $695,000Williams - $600,228 They're not going to pay another $4 million this year to a backup RB, no matter how productive he was last season. Take the draft pick, pick someone else to compete with Williams at a cost less than 25% of what MG would be due, and move on...
NewEra Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Good post. I see your point. A question, though: why do people only bring 2nd and 5th round tenders? Is that the rule? Can't you offer, say, a 3rd or 4th round tender? It's the round you were draft in or a 1st or 2nd rd tender I believe.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Well, we hit 100. Any actual info on whether we are matching or taking the pick? We only have an hour and a half left.
MAJBobby Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 It's the round you were draft in or a 1st or 2nd rd tender I believe. Correct 1st round Tender 2nd round Tender Original Tender (3rd round - UDFA)
NewEra Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Correct 1st round Tender 2nd round Tender Original Tender (3rd round - UDFA) Nice info, thanks. I didn't know that if you were were UDFA then you could have a 3rd rd tender
White Linen Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 I wish I could get out of the mindframe of not caring abut this because playoffs are not happening with Patriots around. 2 additional spots to shoot for man.
NoSaint Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Nice info, thanks. I didn't know that if you were were UDFA then you could have a 3rd rd tender you cant, its 1, 2, or whatever round after that you correspond to from draft day
clearwater cadet Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Does losing him help with a comp pick at all?
NewEra Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 you cant, its 1, 2, or whatever round after that you correspond to from draft day Oh ok, guess I misread it
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 (edited) Does losing him help with a comp pick at all? If the Patriots sign Gillislee and the Bills didn't match, New England would surrender a fifth-round pick to Buffalo. Edited April 24, 2017 by ShadyBillsFan
MAJBobby Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 If Bills do not match they will get a 5th round pick, because that is where Mike was originally drafted. We didn't get anything for Hogan because he was given the Original Tender (and being a UDFA there is no compensation with that).
What a Tuel Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 If the Patriots sign Gillislee and the Bills didn't match, New England would surrender a fifth-round pick to Buffalo. But not a comp pick?
H2o Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 I don't know why everyone is so mad. Isn't this the equivalent of getting a Comp Pick basically?
MAJBobby Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 (edited) But not a comp pick? I think it has to be their Original Pick in that round. and if they don't have a 5th, then it would be a 4th from what I understand. I don't think they can use compensatory picks for RFA tenders 15 Min left to match.... Let him walk. Edited April 24, 2017 by MAJBobby
