Honestly, this move for the Pats is probably more important than having Tom Brady. The Pats will probably never throw the ball now.

losing another good player to them is never a good thing.

Lewis and MG will be a very good combo for them. They re load very well. We can't even find the bullets.

Reloading with back ups? When we sign back ups...Whaley sucks. When NE does it....genius.

What if Whaley traded Jerry Hughes for a 1st round bust guard who is always injured? Would you call that a genius move? You know like the Pats did trading Jones for Jonathan Cooper.....

Why does it work for the Pats? Tom Brady. We have Taylor.

From a Pats writer that's shown a solid bunch of sources.

@DMooreNFL

I'm being told #Bills are unlikely to match #Patriots offer sheet to RFA Mike Gillislee. Couple of reasons, from what I'm hearing. (1/3)

#Bills were not necessarily comfortable giving Gillislee more than one year deal. Also, were comfortable w/ J. Williams progress. (2/3)

Lastly, the #Bills would have little cap room to work with if they matched offer sheet. Would prefer 5th rd pick at that point. (3/3)

Blount's ypc:

2013: 5.0

2014: 4.4

2015: 4.3

2016: 3.9

And he looked SLOW in the postseason.

Yeah, significant upgrade.

Bills got played pretty good by the agent and the Pats in this deal.

How disappointed is MG going to be if the Bills match?

This Bills/Pats connection with free agents is starting to have a Eugene Parker-like-inevitability feel........the Pat's have found a weakness........Bills players want to win and don't think they can do so in Buffalo......it's become a pipeline.

Not sure fate will shine on the Bills the way it did when Eugene died. Morbid yes, but man were they lucky to be rid of him.

For the people who don't understand why it's just the Pats that pursue the Bills FA's........it's an advantage acquiring players within the division.......hurts and opponent PLUS it shortens/simplifies the transition to a new team.......and that acclimation period is traditionally is a major problem with signing free agents.

Pats also got a second round pick for a player they didn't need on the last year of his contract. Cooper was just a bonus.

Jonathan Williams failed to replace Karlos. We already witnessed it.

Seriously? Gillisee was out #2.

How much production were you expecting out of our 3rd string RB who was a rookie and missed the year before with a broken foot?

Williams looked horrible - slow and tentative. He's not good.

Just like having no depth behind Watkins last season. And the same right now. But keep defending Whaley. Last I saw, NE had a very good defense too. Brady isn't on defense. NE knows what they are doing.

But probably will. JWill. Maybe more.

He's shown nothing to suggest that. He fumbles well.

Exactly right. Cooper was a throw in, anyone discussing that trade should understand it before going off the deep end.

But it's not a thing that matters in the end. It's just piling on. That team will have the same results regardless of if it's MG carrying the ball or some other guy. Just isn't going to matter.

Tolbert. Williams. Between the two they cover 6 carries a game although I'd like to see G stay

I'm not defending Whaley.

When you don't like the question, you just don't answer. You do it a lot.

so that's an excuse for the Bills to lose a very good RB. You should work for Whaley. Do a horrible job. It doesn't matter anyways.

what if he traded Hughes for a stud ? Who says Hughes will be good in this Defense ? Bellycheck traded DE Chandler Jones and tons of other players away, that worked out pretty good for them
