Blokestradamus Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Just imagine if/when he's got a lot of money in that bank account.... I think I'm at the point with these types that I'm not against them earning a living through the game, just not with my team. You're just hoping that a guy doesn't re-offend after a crime with a high re-offending rate.
JM2009 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 What will be different this year than last when Gillisee averaged 6 carries per game? He also had the best YPA for his carries. A very good player for a team that runs the ball heavy. And what if McCoy goes down. The spinning wheels Bills.
mjt328 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 It cracks me up how a backup RB can have a thread over 20 pages long Odds are, Gillislee was going to have a very important role this season. How confident are you that McCoy is going to stay healthy for 16 games? This is why injuries cannot be an excuse for a GM. Because it is his job to make sure we have strong depth behind the starters.
JM2009 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I'm done with you. You're a troll. You offer no substance to any post and never offer a single fact. Enjoy being miserable. You've been given many facts by posters, but your infatuation with Whaley won't allow for any reasonable discourse. Odds are, Gillislee was going to have a very important role this season. How confident are you that McCoy is going to stay healthy for 16 games? This is why injuries cannot be an excuse for a GM. Because it is his job to make sure we have strong depth behind the starters. Exactly. The depth on this roster right now is not good.
bisonbrigade Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Hahaha Bills might lose backup RB and the year is a waste. Dumbest fans ever sometimes. Not the only reason, just the cherry on top. Maybe you should read more instead of using your hand.
Bangarang Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Would have been nice to keep him but I won't get too upset over him leaving.
buffaloboyinATL Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Bills should have placed the franchise tag on him, because then we would have 2 first round picks! LOL
Boatdrinks Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 It cracks me up how a backup RB can have a thread over 20 pages long Welcome to Billsville..... where backups are beloved and genuflecting at every doing of the Pats is a perverse defense mechanism to block out years of pain
dubs Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 You've been given many facts by posters, but your infatuation with Whaley won't allow for any reasonable discourse. Exactly. The depth on this roster right now is not good. How many more wins do you think the bills have with MG? You don't think the Bills can have either Williams be a suitable replacement or draft an RB, either way paying that person much less - cap room that can go to much more important positions than backup RB?
Boatdrinks Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 What will be different this year than last when Gillisee averaged 6 carries per game? The difference will be that after losses fans can lament " if we had only kept Gilisleeee" .... don't understand the love for backups here
bisonbrigade Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 What will be different this year than last when Gillisee averaged 6 carries per game? The difference is now he will get 26 carries a game and score frequently for Patriots. Dah. Probably 3 TD's per game against the Buffalo ills.

How confident are you that McCoy is going to stay healthy for 16 games? This is why injuries cannot be an excuse for a GM. Because it is his job to make sure we have strong depth behind the starters. You do realize he was a 5th round draft pick and there are maybe 20 or more really good RB's in the draft right?
CommonCents Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 He was the 14th ranked overall ranking back last season according to PFF. He was a fan favorite. He is going to the hated Patriots and looks like he will be their starting RB. I don't understand why folks are bickering at eachother...NO ONE wants to see this happen. Sure if they get the 5th and pick some stud running back this thread will be soon forgotten. For now, we are going to watch another fan favorite get set up for success in NE all the while we will be watching TT's brain painfully process NFL defenses. It blows. From 2017 on who will have more total rushing yards? Gilly or Shady? That would be a fun bet.

You don't think the Bills can have either Williams be a suitable replacement or draft an RB, either way paying that person much less - cap room that can go to much more important positions than backup RB? MG is better. Cap room-this wouldn't have been a situation if we had a GM that was good at handling the cap. Also Whaley is a bad drafter overall.
Boatdrinks Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 How many more wins do you think the bills have with MG? You don't think the Bills can have either Williams be a suitable replacement or draft an RB, either way paying that person much less - cap room that can go to much more important positions than backup RB? They would have about the same amount of wins/ losses. Funny how folks will whine about a backup at a position that they will claim are a dime a dozen and can be found on the street or working at Sonic The difference is now he will get 26 carries a game and score frequently for Patriots. Dah. Probably 3 TD's per game against the Buffalo ills. Who cares? The only difference for the Pats will be the name on the jersey. Same results
Royale with Cheese Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 He also had the best YPA for his carries. A very good player for a team that runs the ball heavy. And what if McCoy goes down. The spinning wheels Bills. That didn't answer my question. What happens if any #1 goes down? We lose our #2 in Karlos and Gillisee steps up. Back up RB's aren't replaceable? Every single team in the NFL loses players and has to replace them. There isn't a team that retains all their RFA/UFA. He had a high ypc because he averaged 6 carries a game. Karlos averaged 5.6 ypc the year before as the #2....earning our last 2 back ups averaged over 5 ypc two years in a row.
Seasons1992 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 That's right. Even when that clown GM stumbles onto talent, he lacks a coherent strategy for retaining or valuing it. But you go ahead and follow your pied piper franchise. The last sentence isn't necessary. We're all in this together. Crap factory or not.........

If you aren't washed up Reggie Bush, you will average 5 ypc.
JM2009 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 You do realize he was a 5th round draft pick and there are maybe 20 or more really good RB's in the draft right? Spinning wheels. If BB likes MG, people should pay attention.

There are those on this board who will still care what player X does or even root for him wearing Patriots cloth. This is blasphemous for sure, but they are here. I bet you can figure out who they are pretty easily
