GoBills808
honest question now that lab chimedi n where is the democratic party now and what can they do to create a healthy political climate for the 2020's? I honestly think it'll take WW3 to create a healthy political climate again. The Ds are out of answers in the short term minus Trump.

Benjamin Franklin
What shifting demo? More blacks? More women? More millennial pansies too precious to work for McDonalds? Standing around begging for the Venezuelan-like socialism? Please don't tell me you think GOP members are so put off by Trump that they'd actually turn to the liberals for solutions. Because you're not THAT crazy. Right? Right? Do you believe there is a shifting demographic to increased numbers of traditionally liberal pols? The Reps hope on shifting demo is with Latinos but most Rs aren't seeing that. You won't win a lot of electoral college votes while losing the popular. This country is moving towards a Bernie style populist and that's very very bad news. The R party over D tears is immature and misses the reality of what's coming. The WoT is too vague and undefined and politicized besides. You realize Roosevelt told the auto industry to start making tanks and planes and oh, by the way you aren't going to sell a single vehicle to the public until the war's done...and they actually went along with it? You think people today might get along better if everyone had to deal with rationing and victory gardens. But it's just a guess.

If we passed each other on the road, you in your Trumped-out Explorer and me in my Beetle with the SP USA stickers, and we both had just paid $15 for a gallon of gasoline and hadn't bought new tires in three years...I'd give you a head nod. Nothing fancy, but civil and neighborly: recognition of shared sacrifice goes a ways toward mending hurt feelings.

I think in the end he's going to do some serious short term damage to conservatism in this country.

GoBills808
Good stuff in more than one way! I don't want to get too into the home brewing thing because I can see myself spending way too much time and energy on it...but of course I'm on Amazon looking up prices on food grade jugs and filters and a bunch of nonsense...these projects have a way of taking over. Luckily I have fishing to keep me from getting distracted.
