jrober38 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) Greater needs than qb ? Can't wait for the next Whitner, Mccargo, Gilmore, Lawson, Leodis, Wood, Maybin or Spiller to get us to 8-8 !! Trying to draft a franchise qb is bad ? I'm sure the Steelers and Ravens are mad they drafted Flacco and Big Ben and had success. "It's been noted none are first round picks" ??? yet most mocks have at least 2 of them drafted. You're floating a little too far away from reality. Ahhh finish us off with some good old Tyrod loving. Why did you refute earlier that your takes werent Tyrod related ? 25th in yards and losing to all .500 teams is good enough. I remember 2013 when Barkley, Smith and Nassib were mocked as first round picks. Then the draft happened........ Edited March 15, 2017 by jrober38
eball Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I haven't failed to realize anything, it's been noted none of these QB's are worth a first round pick. So a player that had to sit behind someone who wasn't considered an NFL talent for 2 years, now jumps up the board and is considered to be one? Why? Just because the league is starved for good to great QB play? I mean has everyone lost their minds? Umm, those are opinions not facts. My response specifically addressed the fact that you and at least one other poster questioned Trubisky's talent and potential based upon the fact he sat behind an incredibly productive QB at UNC. You posited that because he didn't start, he must not be very good. That's simply not the case.
4merper4mer Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) Does anyone think Trubiniski's Polish name moves him up the charts a bit in the eyes of Buffalo fans? Posluszny certainly did. Despite his beautiful hair, he was just ok. Edited March 15, 2017 by 4merper4mer

4merper4mer Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I think the play on the field does that. Do we play James Madison and The Citadel this year?
Maury Ballstein Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 Do we play James Madison and The Citadel this year? Are those the bills comps if Buffalo was a college team ?
ndirish1978 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) If faced with the choice of being good with Mitch and making Ryan happy or several more years of mind-numbing mediocrity and an unhappy Ryan, I'd probably just opt for the latter Edited March 15, 2017 by ndirish1978
BillsFan17 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Do we play James Madison and The Citadel this year?Wonder what the leap was from the level of comp Carson Wentz had at North Dakota State to the NFL... I am not the biggest Trubisky supporter, but I think we are a bit beyond the level of comp argument.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Marquis Williams sniffed the NFL fwiw. Packers Practice Squad qb for about 3 months one offseason. Added details to Marquise's amazing time in the NFL.
Maury Ballstein Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 Added details to Marquise's amazing time in the NFL. Doesn't erase his 74tds in 2 seasons as junior and senior.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Doesn't erase his 74tds in 2 seasons as junior and senior. But Tru broke all the records, don't you think they should have put him in sooner? Does Larry Fedora need glasses?
Maury Ballstein Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) But Tru broke all the records, don't you think they should have put him in sooner? Does Larry Fedora need glasses?Probably but Williams was there first and his play didn't warrant a benching. If Trubisky didn't hit a grand slam as a junior he would've had a second year to light it up at UNC. Get that money Edited March 15, 2017 by Ryan L Billz
Maury Ballstein Posted March 21, 2017 Author Posted March 21, 2017 Alex Smith might have to watch his back Chiefs, Browns, Jets, 49ers all to hold private workouts with Trubisky.
Maury Ballstein Posted March 21, 2017 Author Posted March 21, 2017 (edited) Had a great pro dayChiefs with a solid plan. Can't wait to see which 5th rounder Dougie will bring in. Guess it's Nate Peterman Edited May 13, 2017 by Maury Ballstein
Eric Moulds on my A** Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Alex Smith might have to watch his back Chiefs, Browns, Jets, 49ers all to hold private workouts with Trubisky. To your credit it seems like after today's pro day workout he's got some teams salivating.
Maury Ballstein Posted March 21, 2017 Author Posted March 21, 2017 To your credit it seems like after today's pro day workout he's got some teams salivating. Watch the tape. He's gonna be awesome. Easy to see imo.
Eric Moulds on my A** Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Watch the tape. He's gonna be awesome. Easy to see imo.I'm even critical of Darnold and yet some posters want us to lose out to get him. So difficult to determine how a college QB will translate into the NFL game. Glad I'm not Whaley.
r00tabaga Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Wonder what the leap was from the level of comp Carson Wentz had at North Dakota State to the NFL... I am not the biggest Trubisky supporter, but I think we are a bit beyond the level of comp argument. Wentz was far more successful and more experienced.
